About this item

  • High Quality: The Carving Bit is made of premium Tungsten Carbide, which is more durable and has a long service life. Built to give you longer-lasting, stronger-performing, versatile accessories
  • Versatile Use: The tungsten carbide bits work well for metal, wood, ceramic, Copper Tube, detailed material removal, carving, engraving, hollowing, precision cutting, grooving, slotting, and so on
  • The accessory tip creates flat-bottomed grooves and recesses, flat-edged cuts, and V-shaped cuts when held at a 45-degree angle
  • The cylindrical shape of the engraving tool allows deep material removal, cutting of flat areas, rounding of edges, and making stop cuts and V-cuts
  • Essentials: This is an essential bit for metalworkers & DIY carving fans, easy to grasp and use, has high wear resistance, high efficiency, good heat resistance, smooth chip removal, no dust pollution, and is stable and reliable
  • Specifications: Shank diameter: 3mm(1/8"), cutting edge diameter: 3mm(1/8"). Fit for Dremel tools, rotary tools that can accommodate a 1/8" shank size
  • Warm Note: Always ensure your Carving Bit shank is well inserted into your collet and clamped down tightly. Use the side of the engraving head (not the tip) to complete the job

These are very durable, sharp cutters for carving hardened steel knife blades.

These rotary tool bits fit into my dremel tool just like you would expect. I used them to take the burr off from metal and to reduce the sharp edges and they work well for my needs. Very similar to the rotary bits you would find at your local hardware store.

Disclaimer: I got this knowing I was going to try to use it in exactly the ways they say you are NOT supposed to use it. I'm a home DIYer and am using this in a drill press instead of in a mill like you are supposed to use. And I didn't have an XY vise for any kind of controlled cutting, just a simple clamp that I moved by hand. And although I didn't get the cutting speed I was hoping for, I guess I forgot to mention I was trying to cut titanium with it, it did perform pretty well on a test cut with no sign of dulling or other problems. And the end result was a fairly flat surface, although of course the surface finish was poor since it was a drill press and hand held.So if it works acceptably with all I did wrong, it will probably be amazing one you use it correctly in a mill.
