WARM TIP
1) Make sure the chuck grips a 3mm shank tightly when installing the bit. Tighten it appropriately and check for sturdiness. Run it idle for 1-2 minutes to ensure smooth operation.
2) Always wear protective gear such as goggles and masks during operation.
3) Apply gentle pressure when using the sanding bit. Excessive force can cause the bit to jam, break, or even burn out the motor.
4) For optimal results, avoid prolonged high-speed sanding. Maintain a consistent speed and use water to cool and minimize dust spread.

I tried these grinding stones on one of my vintage tool restoration projects and the stones actually held up pretty well. I have used other grinding stones before and the really bad ones that you sometimes get would be throwing grit all over the place and the stones wore down quickly. I didn’t have that problem with this 45 pc. Set. They didn’t wear down too much at all. The only problem I did have was the stones seem to clog up with the metal I was grinding. The metal was rusty and grimy and may have contributed to that but I was able to clean them just by gently running the grinding stone against another stone. I used all the different shaped stones in this kit but the bullet shaped one was my go to stone. I am pleased with the quality of these grinding stones and these are definitely a good value for the price.

I primarily got this set for the largest stones which I plan to use to sharpen my hedge trimmer. The larger diameter stone should remove more metal and therefore sharpen faster.I tested the biggest ones by putting them in my rotary tool to see if the cutting stones were centered and balanced. Here are the results:3 were well balanced7 were slightly off balance (the tool vibrated) but were okay to use anyway7 were so far out of balance that I threw them away so they wouldn't destroy my toolNext I tried 5 of each of the other 2 shapesFor the small cylinders, all 5 were good.For the conical shapes, 4 were a little off center but were okay to use. I threw one away because if vibrated so much.To conclude, even though I had to throw a number of them away, for $12 I still have enough bits to last a few years.
