I was having an issue at work with my monitor, dock, and every other cable "disappearing". After using this kit to strap everything to my desk I no longer have that issue. No more going to IT every few days for a new dock.

For the purpose of securing cables together or to lock a small object to an anchor, this is a really nice kit. The cables are basically made for you and all you have to do is crimp them. You can adjust the size of the loop by pulling one end of the cable through the ferrule. The crimping tool is solid and applies sufficient force to securely lock the ferrules to the cable and prevent slipping. It's not often I find such a handy tool at a reasonable price, but I feel like I did this time. It's a good value for the money and a handy kit to have around.

Have some USB cords I needed crimped so I ordered this.The crimper is comfortable.I was able to adjust them easily.A nice set to have around the IT dept.

This is a great starter set for affixing more or less permanent tethers to cable. It 10 preformed 1/16" coated 12" cable tethers, a crimping tool and some extra crimping sleeves. The crimping tool can also be used to cut the cables. The set is very easy to use and the tethers can be cut as short as desired.The only negative for me to report is that extra preformed stainless steel cable tethers are somewhat pricey, it's probably more cost effective to purchase a bulk roll of 1/16" stainless steel cable and bulk crimping sleeves. Despite that I think it's a great set and I highly recommend it.

I’ve never used one of these cable tethers but have seen them in the field. I was looking forward to trying out this tool and cables. Being a first-time user, I could have used a little more instruction, but I figured it out. I was just confused if I needed to use the jaws or the inside crimp. I get it through; most tools don’t have instructions as the users are aware on how to use them. But these are a little more specialized than say, wire strippers. They do work well and have been helpful. The pliers are well made, grip well and crimp with ease. I look forward to using them more as projects develop. I do recommend this set as it more than just pliers as cables and sleeves are included, they seem well made and are affordable.

First of all, I have to admit this was my first “pocket” order. I must have left the website open while the phone was in my pocket; however, once this 15 pack of tethers showed up I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of a decent set of combination pliers. The tethers max out around 11 3/8” (measured to allow a large, full loop crimp), which is more than anyone will need. The wires are strong and semi rigid so while they are flexible they won’t kink or break unless they're cut with wire cutters (or the combo pliers). In the name of science I stripped off the white insulation jacket of one of the wires to reveal braided steel wire, which according to the description is stainless steel. The combination pliers are pretty decent and have a crimper between the handles. The plier jaws are serrated and will come in handy for grabbing things like nuts, slim pipes, and even electrical wires. They also have cutters towards the back of the jaws to cut off any slack once the tether is fitted. While the tethers will likely prevent loss of valuable dongles, the pliers add the most value to this set for me.
