While the wheel is heavy duty, it has been less than a year and it is already rusting.Do not buy these if looking for stainless steel.

Used this and two HF cable winches to lift something heavy while assembling. Worked perfect. I was at 300 pounds split between both.

My application was to hang relatively heavy and delicate aquarium lights to be controlled by a linear actuator.Stand alone, to me, the pulley is a work of art.It was by far more than what I needed.This product performed for my application smooth andflawlessly.

With a capacity for 1/8 to over 1/2 inch lines this will cover a multitude of uses. Excellent fit and finish. Overkill for most uses around the home, it will have a very high safety quotient. I'm not sure what they have against synthetic/hemp rope, but they don't list it as compatible. Perhaps the edges are a bit too sharp, but I don't know why it would fray synthetic/hemp and not eventually wire. It looks like it should work for all materials if used with smaller lines, straight pulls and with proper inspections now and then.Should do the job if you are within the rated capacity. Recommended.
