First off, these pulleys are heavy duty and should last a long time. Pricewise they are very reasonable. I really like them.So we live off grid in the mountains and heat our home with a wood stove. Our stack of firewood, five cords, is on the only flat area closeby but still about 75 feet uphill from our porch. In winter we have to slog up the hill and load firewood into a plastic toboggan and pull it downhill just to get about fifteen logs to burn.I have now loosely strung a steel wire rope from the tree next to our porch steps uphill to a tree by our cords of wood. With these pulleys mounted upside down on the cable, I can hang a basket under the cable that will hold about four or five logs. With a thin rope tied to the uphill side of the basket, I can load the basket with firewood and let gravity take the load downhill to the porch. Then only one of us has to climb the hill to get firewood while the other unloads the basket by the porch. The loading and unloading of the basket should go fairly quickly. I can just haul the empty basket back up with the rope and tie it off and load it again.Gravity is our friend.

These are light duty pulleys, meaning their Working Load Limit (WLL) must not be exceed 80 pounds, and the maximum rope diameter is 6mm (~1/4"). I've seen the exact same pulleys on Temu for $2.79 each. Be cautious of any load bearing products that do not have the rating stamped on the side. They are made of stainless steel, so that's a plus.

Think for the price the are good for very light things.I would get the strongest ones possible as I am not a fan of the simple screw up in the top. Not sure that it’s a failure point but I am looking at the breaking point of these as at the working load limit. I have lifted 500+ pounds around my house before and I would not want to have these be part of the system. But for the price we know that. So for light weight good stuff they are great!

Outstanding for the purpose I used them them for.

I ordered these in order to lift something that weighs maybe 40 pounds and they are definitely overkill for that purpose. These pulleys are super beefy and solid. They work fine for my use but are certainly capable of much more.
