Was using on display set to DP 1.2, would get blinking every few minutes got really annoying. Switched to 1.1 and flicker totally went away. Bought the powered repeater version so I could switch back to 1.2 and now these are collecting dust. If needed for DP 1.1 these will work, anything higher and don't bother. Also only used to put 2 three foot cables together, wasn't going super far. TVs are wall mounted and it's tough to get to the wires so was easier to add onto the cable rather than switch it.

Both couplers failed. One Display port end I'm using has a lock on it, it fit very loosely inside the coupler. The other Display port end falls out of the coupler. Tried flipping them around and the same thing. When plugged in the screen flickers and looses signal. Both cables I am using fit tight in in the computer and do not come loose. The pins and surrounding metal looks all hacked up, like they were taken out of used electronics. Very poor quality.

I used this to connect two 3.3ft DP 2.1 cables connected to a 1080p monitor running at 144Hz. It worked perfectly. When it comes to high refresh monitors, you have to ensure that every component can support the higher refresh rate, from the graphics card, to the cable, to the monitor. I also have the cables connected into an angled DP adapter into the monitor and it all works perfectly.

I had bought 2 cheaper Display Port cables from Amazon that were $8.99 each. I wanted to connect my Wacom Cintiq to two separate PC's using a display port switcher and USB switcher. My Cintiq monitor kept glitching and even turned black intermittently. At first, I thought the culprit was the switcher, but I was mistaken. That's when I discovered that not all display port cables were created equal. I returned both those cables and searched for the best quality Display Port cables I could find. I read through a lot of reviews and chose the VESA Certified ones from MAXONAR. I ordered two. The Cintiq worked beautifully with my work computer, but the screen glitched with my personal pc. Turns out that the display port female on my personal computer was loose, I switched it to another port and it worked fine. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Seriously I'm hard on equipment, most cables last 30-45 days tops. The other couplers I've tried wouldn't last more than 30 and that includes the gold plated $30 ones you can get on amazon. These were $5 each! The first of these just failed today after 90 days and it was a 2 pack for $10 so I'm a very happy customer. On top of that they transfer 4k @ 60hz plus sound with no problem. Just in case someone is trying to do what I am, I am using a MDP to DP cable on one end and a DP extension on the other end, works great and I still show its reading as a DP 2.1 connection. Don't waste your money on the expensive ones.

Neither worked with multiple good cables that work individually with multiple monitors. Tried repeatedly, no signal passes through them.Update: Even after returning them and getting a refund, Cable Matters still continued to try and ensure that their product works. I received a replacement and the new replacement does work.
