I reviewed the seller of this item and received a response. In my review I stated that the hight maxed out at 19 inches. The seller responded with "need to extend the jacks to their full height. " So I tried them again and they were right. The max height is 18 inches. They did do the job. I had to Jenga the heck out of it but I got the job. These are a one off tool.

Helped me install kitchen upper cabinets without any assistance. I didn't need to get an extra set of hands to help hold in place while I lined up and then drilled into wall. These jacks held up great and allowed me the time to fine tune and adjust the cabinets to line up well. No tired arms and no delay because I couldn't get help to hold cabinets up.

An invaluable tool for mounting wall cabinets. They work well, but could use some material improvements. Most of the parts are made of plastic, but I can understand at this price point. I just don't expect these will last for multiple projects.

We got these in order to address sagging plastic shelves in multiple places in our home. They completely alleviated the problem, now the shelves support all the weight necessary. I have not used it professionally to install anything, but so far they've been great at allowing us to use our plastic shelves again instead of replacing everything. I can think of quite a few uses for these, and for the price they're great.

Being a hobbyist in a one-man shop has, on occasion, been a challenge; not enough hands. I see these support poles coming in very handy when trying to mount cabinets by myself. I have two of these and getting them positioned to stabilize one end as I lift the cabinet onto the other seems as the way to go.My first impression out of the small box was, "Too much plastic!". These are made of some sort of hard plastic and there's a few metal parts: the post and the sliding shaft with its release bar. Assembly was quick, simply press the black support post into the footplate and the sliding shaft's cap into the top support plate. The support post is in 2 pieces one sliding into the other with a 4-point star knob clamp to secure (see the photo). This provides a quick adjustment, then you can use the handle to pump the support platform higher in small increments. However, the clamp is made of plastic and the support post is painted black; there is no real adhesion, even when fully tightened. I am leary of trusting this support for no where near their stated maximum of 78 lbs. An improvement would be to perforate a series of holes through the inner post to insert a pin at the rough location. Then use the handle to pump up the rest of the lift to the hold position. The shaft and release bar will definitely hold.I extended the pole to its maximum (see the photo); it measured a little less than the user manual specifications but that is based on fully extending the inner black support post. In the photo, the clamp was grasping a little more of the support post to prevent slippage. The almost 25 square inch plates, top and bottom, make for a stable support platform, so less possibility of teetering once the cabinet is being supported by them. I did like the fine tuning of the jack to help set the cabinet level. At a fair price point and, bearing in mind the benefit to a one-man show, these should be helpful in the shop, but on a limited basis. I just don't like that clamp.
