The POE-SW502 is an unmanaged 6-Port Power over Ethernet Switch with a total of 60 watts of PoE power. All ports run at 10/100Mbps and can provide up to 30W per port through the IEEE 802. 3at standard, as well as up to 60W on port 1 through Hi-PoE. It has two Ethernet uplink ports to allow for communication without sacrificing any PoE ports. I have several POE UI cameras on 4 ports. It is plug and just works without any issue. Been running for about 2 months and has been flawless.

Ive uaed a vouple of affordable por switches for remote site camera installs and this are the ones i always buy again for reliability I've installed them out in light poles in nema boxes with no aorflow and they run great and have some units that have been running for years with no problems

I purchased this POE switch to replace the one that I had that died recently. It connected my two WAPS into my network without any problems and works smoothy with my UniFi Network Server application management software. I recommend it to anyone who has network extender WAPS installed.

I bought one of these for a non-technical friend of mine. The coloured ports make it really easy to explainOther than that, it's a switch. It's powering a couple of Unifi access points.There is a bug in the Unifi controller that throws misleading errors if the switch you plug the APs into is not made by Unifi. I experienced this bug with this switch. It is not the fault of the switch, but maybe this comment will save others a few hours of searching and swapping cables like I did before I found the thread(s) of many users discussing this

I looked at many PoE injectors, and decided for $34 this is the best option. I initially purchased just one PoE camera, but this switch allows me to add three more by simply running the ethernet cable. What more could you ask for?This switch has a PoE+ port on the first plug, and all four plugs will run at PoE standard power levels. If you need PoE+ you probably cannot use all four, it will limit you to one or two more standard PoE plugs, because it has a maximum power output.There is a switch for Default, and Extended. If you need to run longer than 300 feet you can switch to extended, it will reduce the bandwidth of the PoE ports to 10Mbps, and increase the power, so that it can run longer cables safely. I don't recommend this, just try to use the 300 feet limit, and the default setting and you will be fine.If you have to go longer, I suggest you but another of these, or an individual injector. Then, use 300 feet cable segments with switch/hubs to reach you destination at full speed.My house is all 1000Mbps ethernet. I connect the PoE switch to one of the ports and it runs at 100Mbps with the switch. There are two uplink ports on the switch, not sure why you need it, but you could connect two networks to this, if you so desired.If you are buying a single camera, I suggest skipping the single PoE injectors and getting this. You then have the option of adding three more cameras without needing another injector. The 100Mbps is more than enough bandwidth for the cameras, they usually need about 2Mbps each.Most single injectors are $19. This is $34 and gives you 4 standard PoE injectors with one optionally running PoE+. This is a great deal, and a good choice. Be smart and plan ahead, that is what I did. I just ordered additional cameras today, and I am very glad I purchased this, because I don't need to get more injectors, just need the camera and ethernet cables to hook it up.

I bought this for the PoE+ feature to be able to power other PoE device downstream. No issues. I like that it has a second uplink port .

System runs 24/7--including on battery backup during winter storm outages.ORIG Apr 2019 Review 3 Stars:When 2 or more Ring Stick Up Cams are connected to the BT-Tech 4 Port POE Switch the product does NOT provide enough POE power to run the cameras. HOWEVER, when a plug-in 48v 24w 0.5 amp POE injector is connected between this product and EACH Ring Cam, then the SWITCHING function of the BV-Tech product works just fine--even when you chain the BV-Techs together.The more economical plug-in POE injector that works is found on these Amazon Pages.
