Right off the bat, the look and feel of the faux leather on this portfolio appears to be both sturdy and soft. I am always nervous with faux leather, and the tendency for it to peel and tear more easily. But this unit feels quite solid. On the inside, I love the practicality of the storage options, especially room for more than one pen and a highlighter. The added credit card and ID slots are also quite practical, for someone who may wish to use the portfolio as a central hub, and leave their purse or knapsack at home. The added slot for a laptop was a bit too small for my laptop unit (15.4") display, but the seller clearly listed the limitations, so I plan to use this space for a portable tablet and/or file folders, instead. My wife has many medical appointments, so using this slot for her medical files, test results, and other documentation will be quite helpful. The handle can be pulled out, or tucked in for a more traditional portfolio look. I appreciate the handle, and having this option available. The portfolio comes with a starting note pad, and some clear slide in sheets to help you begin to set up the sections that will be most supportive for you. All in all, I am very pleased with the portfolio color, feel, and organization.

Had this padfolio not come with the "extras" (sheet protectors and notepad) it would easily be 5 stars but their addition actually brought the quality down. For showing options, they are fine. But for actual use, they are quite lackluster. The sheet protectors are not a good quality so I'm replacing them with the ones I like. The notepad is just a bit weird - there aren't margins on the sides or at the top and the paper isn't great quality. I'm leaving it at the office for when someone forgets something to take notes on so they have lines instead of just printer paper.The padfolio itself is fantastic! The faux leather feels like a good quality and the handle easily slides in so it's not obstructive if you aren't using it to carry the padfolio. The zipper works well. The fact that it has an actual clipboard top instead of having to squeeze in the exact size pad is awesome - I can also use it for the notebook in use at the time. While I would appreciate the binder holding a bit more, this is the largest size I have found without compromising other features. The laptop part is too small for mine but I was aware of that and not looking for it to be stored here. I can easily store folders there instead. I love that everything is going to stay neat!
