Product Description

Bully Tools fiberglass shovels utilize a triple wall fiberglass, wood reinforced handle design. Great for homeowners and contractors, it is just as strong and hefty as a wood shovel, with the added comfort of a fiberglass handle. All Bully Tools shovels have a closed back design that prevents debris getting stuck while digging. We use true 14 gauge steel, which is thicker than what is typically marketed as 14 gauge. The extended ferrule and welded I-beam support increases strength while prying. In testing, the steel shovel head bends before the handle breaks in both wood and fiberglass models! The Dgrips have been redesigned for superior comfort and durability. Watch our video above to see it crush a cement block!

First of all, I would like to personally thank the makers and sellers of this product as well as for the bow rake I purchased at the same time. You are absolutely the best (and not Bullies at all))) ).All the tools I have bought from Bully are the best I ever held in my hands. They are definitely made by professionals and not amateurs.Cons: NONE found so far.Pros: I honestly thought that my Husky round tip shovel was one of the best available on the market. Well, I guess I was wrong (please forgive me Husky, your product is still very well made and is good for what it's made for).Bully's shovel: 1. Optimal length for my height of 6'1". 1-2 inches longer than Husky. 2. Light because of the fiberglass stem but not very. The blade is well balanced by the handle, if I can say that. 3. The shovel's blade is well and optimally wrought. The "fin" at the top of the blade is extremely useful and allows the dirt fall off while digging easily - must have on all digging shovels! The foot rest on the blade is wide and convenient - you won't miss it, not a chance! It is much wider than Husky's. 4. The "V" handle is awesome. Optimal size for my large sized hand - only help and no interference of any sort.Bottom line, digging today was a bliss accompanied by a beautiful Californian weather.Guys, thank you again!

Seems like a very nice tool. It broke when i was digging out roots and my attempts to file a warranty claim were initially ignored. After 5 days a nice person called and 4 days later I had a new shovel. Of note the new shovel, same model # has a new longer metal collar that extends 2” beyond where the fiberglass shaft broke. That’s good engineering folks. Bully ID’d a flaw in one of their products and fixed it. USA company, USA quality,

I bought this shovel to dig in the concrete-like soil that my yard is made of. I've used other shovels in the past for various projects, and they all ended up bent from digging in my hard ground. This shovel has so far held up great, and is probably the toughest shovel I've ever used (I built swimming pools for 8 years, so I know my way around a shovel). The only think I might warn people about is it's weight... this is not a light tool, but for digging in hard ground the extra heft is a benefit.

I feel like I have finally found 'THE ONE'. After purchasing the most espensive kobalt shovel at Lowes and breaking a cheaper shovel from Home Depot, I read reviews online and this thing feels great for light shovel work. *Spreading dirt, digging and planting plants..UPDATE 4.18.19.. This is still the best shovel for digging or all day shovel work. I ordered Bully Tools 92515 12-Gauge which is the thicker shovel and the lighter one (82515 ) is better for everyday use and I haven't come close to breaking it in my horrible clay soil. In my quest for the perfect shovel. What makes 82515 superior is its light, strong and the ANGLE is correct and not as extreme as others I have owned.

if you break this shovel your doing something wrong... this thing is as close to indestructible as you can get a serious work horse! if you have need for a shovel this thing will out live you i highly recommend this product and Bully Tools products in general. my only caveat with this shovel is if your working with hard or frozen soil the blade should be sharpened. also if your a smaller set individual this shovel may be a bit large and heavy for long hours of work

I like this shovel. Just pick it up and look at it and you can tell it is a quality tool. Very sturdy and lots of well-designed details. I've spent about 3 hours digging out stumps with it so far. It is so much easier to get real work done with this shovel than any of the others I have available. I broke my 30+ year old Sears Best Craftsmen and they replaced it the best one that had, but it is a real clunker; bought this one to replace the 'replacement' and am I real happy I did. I light the weight of the shovel -- not too heavy, but still enough heft to power through a root. The handle flexes a little more than I'm used to (using all-wood handles), but when it starts to bend that is probably a good indicator that maybe I'm using a little too much force and should ease up a bit on the prying. I wish it was sharper right out of the box, but that can be fixed easily enough with a flat file and 10 minutes of spare time.

Absolutely AMAZING shovel!!!I bought our house knowing it needed to be re-landscaped. A complete scrape-off of 30+ years of previous landscaping efforts. In addition to digging through 3 feet of rocks (in a clay-base soil), there were around 2 dozen stumps (lilacs, old cut-down trees, etc) and approx. 3 dozen railroad ties to be dug out. I hired a contractor to do the initial scrape off, but it was (and still is) an immense undertaking.I bought a couple shovels (H-Freight and H Depot), but they would flex severely when I put them to work. They're fine for my wife and kids, but not an adult male. I can easily flex the fiberglass handles and the shovel blades.... No bueno. Then I read about the Bully shovel. It is a thicker steel, no seams in the handle "receiver" (where the handle goes into the shovel head) and something unique - a welded "brace" on the back side of where the handle goes into the shovel head. I can flex the very strong handle (solid wood wrapped in thick fiberglass), but the shovel head barely moves. If I put my weight into it, yeah, the shovel head flexes, but unless it's made out of something like 1/4" steel I can bend it.Incidentally, there are other brands of shovels similar to the specifications of the Bully shovel, but at 2x (or more) the price for nothing extra.ETA: I read reviews of the shovel before I bought it and a common critique was that the powder coating/paint came off the shovel. This critique should be completely disregarded!!! (no, I do not work for or sell Bully Tools equipment)If you're digging into soil and rocks the paint is going to come off - a shovel is a tool not a museum piece. If you *use* your shovel don't worry about paint coming off or a little surface rust. I usually rinse my shovel off after using and have never had a problem...
