Did exactly what it needed to do. Bought seven. The barrel connectors are more consistently sized than bulk purchase ones. Block can run a little warm.

I even tested it with a multimeter. To be sure the multimeter is actually working, I tested the voltage output from my ESP32-S3 and it was 3.3v.When I checked the voltage from this PSU, sit registered as 0.0v.Dropping it off at UPS tomorrow for return to Amazon.

I'm using it to power a Quinled DigUno and WS2812 led strip. It worked great after I chopped off the barrel connector and wired it up directly. The problem was either the barrel connector on the cord or the green wiring connector that shipped with it- I don't know which. When I started to plug the two pieces together, I'd get power when only the tip was in, but then nothing as soon as it was fully inserted. Not a difficult fix, just be aware you can't trust the connectors that it ships with.

I bought an Allo Boss2 DAC to use with a Raspberry Pi 4. The DAC has a power jack and is capable of powering the PI and itself. It needs more than the standard Pi 4 power supply to do both. This one works fine. I've seen measurements comparing the SQ from a hundred dollar regulated power supply and a switching supply like this in this exact setup. Any noise and jitter is well below the threshold of human hearing although the regulated supply measures better. An important rule to remember about home audio. The weakest link is the speaker.
