I noticed that the new Specna Arms Prime line comes with brushless motors, so since I have a Specna Edge 2.0 I thought I'd give it a try. The verdict? Possibly the simplest upgrade I've ever done with the most results. This brushless motor is silky smooth, increases trigger response exponentially, and increases the rate of fire. It made my already really good replica into an absolute monster. Changing it took only about 10 minutes, and it was fully plug-and-play.

I recently upgraded my AEG with the ADV-AIRSOFT Brushless Motor (Long Shaft CNC Motor for 7.4V-11.1V LiPo), and it has significantly improved the performance of my airsoft gun. I wont lie this is a pretty wicked fast motor. Using a m115 spring with shimmed gears was my mistake. Believe it or not when you run 11.1 on this sucker it goes faster then the piston spring to re-engage. I blew through 3 Pistons just because i forgot about hey it runs quicker and wont spool as much on a 16:1 ratio. Catastrophic failures was showing on teeth 8-13, where the sector gear would re engage the piston, using a m170 spring fixed the FPS and cycling issues. Don't get me wrong seeing 68RPS on a m115 was silly but only getting 210fps on .25s (this was on a 229mm x 6.2m Maple leaf inner with 60° bucking) was lackluster. The other issue is when I tried to use a 7.4V lipo with the gate titan, the gate would error out saying there is not enough voltage. Even when I disabled that warning to try to force the gun to cycle it preformed quite horrific. So I swapped back to the 11.1V and it played quite nice.

Purchased this as it was cheaper on Amazon compared to evikes website, was hoping that this motor would work with the Gates Titan V2, but it doesn’t. Throws a motor not detected dtc, swapped in my stock motor and the old one worked and yes, my settings in the ETU were set to brushless, low voltage off, pre cock off, gear detection on, and motor brake off. If you have a titan ETU, don’t get this motor. Returning this and will be getting a warhead instead. Really wished this worked for my setup, heard good things about this motor.

Nothing beats a Ronin, that’s plain and simple however this motor stays cool and collected running off an 11.1, Gate Titan 2 BT while pulling an M130 on 12:1 gears. Impressive.

Review for the Long Shaft, High Torque typePlopped this into my VFC SCAR to replace the little chinese stock motor, ran the motor with a 9.6v NiMh nunchuck battery, and good lawd it packs a punch! Even with just the High Torque variant, the rate of fire was still insane (in a good way). Sounds really powerful and echoed through my neighborhood. Definitely gonna light some people up with this thing, and I have more upgrades on the way, so combined with this motor I should be dominating the field.Pros- Sounds Powerful- Is Powerful- Very fast RoF (Rate of Fire)- Is sleek and, dare I say, extremely beautiful lookin- Very quick and easy to install, user friendlyCons- Heated up my 9.6V NiMh battery more than usual, but could just be a battery problem (not enough output) rather than a motor problem.I will update this review whenever I receive my other internal upgrades, shoot it, run a game with it, and whenever I get my hands on a 7.4v/11.1v LiPo battery.Thank you ADV

Really nice motor but can not get it tombehave with a Jefftron Leviathan pre cock. Seems to vary and randomly double fire or not pre cock enough. Tried going through the whole range of precock levels turning it off was fine though.In the end I took it out and put in in a double eagle UTR which it epic with awesome trigger response, near precock levels .
