Omg, guys. The customer service is thee worst. Please spare yourself a headache and find another company to buy from. Their "membership service" is such a joke. You end up paying for more copies if you go over your anticipated amount (what?? This is MY PRINTER!). Also, once you get thoroughly fed up with them and cancel the membership, you can no longer use your printer and must buy entirely new ink cartridges. I have never had such a disastrous experience over a dang printer. Ugh.

I bought this after a power failure toasted my HP OfficeJet Pro All-In-One.This printer had mixed reviews and I was hesitant to try it, however I felt that many of the poor reviews indicated to me that their reviews were because they didn't follow the instructions when setting up the printer. I followed the instructions and everything went well.I use Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android devices and the printer works flawlessly with all .I have no need for the FAX so I can't comment on that.I use the printer, both color and black and white, and with no problems at all. I haven't used the cut function, but may try it sometime if the need arises. I'm a pretty light user, mostly scanning manuals and documents to store on my NAS.I use the scan function using the ADF and the glass for both PDF and jpeg images. All work well.I like this printer and recommend it.

After my Cannon dropped a WT-4 gear (what's that four?) out from its innards the search was on for a replacement. I borrowed an Hp for three days. The arcane registration to get the Hp working almost felt like I had to buddies with the CEO. Off the list.Son recommended Brother as his office tried to beat two of them to death, and they are still holding on. They have not dropped WT-4 gears.Printer arrived just before Christmas. Try to install and muss up Christmas? Nah.. My computer angst rose. Brother sat in its box. Finally a deep breath, contacted Son by various devices and we had it running in minutes. Really nice to have that done without signing my life over to the CEO. Wireless printing a breeze to set up.Fast. Quiet. Multi functional. Just have to see how it prints photos. That challenge is ahead.Ink costs may be higher than expected for a new printer. We shall see.

This is a great wireless printer. It is by far the easiest printer set up I have gone through. The instructions were clear and the entire process was quick. The print quality is very good. Unlike other wireless printers we have owned, this one links to all our devices effortlessly. We have had it for 3 months and I would buy it again.

I've been through a number of printers in my lifetime, and to say I adore this one would be an understatement. Our last printer, from a competing brand, was constantly disconnecting itself and reconnection was a complicated chore. Recently, it decided that it should only print documents in a very light cyan, despite the fact that I had just refilled all the colors, and print tests always came out looking normal. That was the point where I gave up and ordered a Brother.Imagine my surprised Pikachu face when this printer immediately accepted the wifi password, connected to my computer without actually needing any extra software, and then quickly and correctly spat out the document I had been trying for so long to print, all in under five minutes. I don't even necessarily care about all the extra bells and whistles, it works, plus continues to work, and that's more than I was initially hoping for.

I am a refugee from HP. I found it increasingly difficult to do as simple a task as scan using my Mac software. The HP seems to favor Windows. I replaced with a Brother all-in-one. The setup was not what I would call easy but if you follow instructions (one of my failures), the setup works fine and the result is more than satisfying. This is day one's we'll see what the future holds but the beginning is charm with logical setup and operating functions. The machine is also smaller than the HP equivalent, yet faster and quieter.

I like it so far. It is nice and compact enough to keep on my computer desk. Easy to operate. The only thing is I can print wirelessly, but I can't scan. I am still trying to figure this out.

Have, unfortunately, owned this Model since end of November 2023. It was not inexpensive. But since December 1, I've discovered that their "Apps" don't support Android Samsung phones or Tablets. I have been frustratingly unable to Register the printer and the multiple scan codes are useless.Replacing Ink cartridges for this model is not possible. I surmised that with so many issues on this machine, including the need to buy a Magnifying Glass to read the screen, all of these problems have led me to understand that this model is sorrowfully outdated.I set it up in WiFi and the teenie little window on printer "Confirmed" .I've been printing via wifi for 2.5 months but the Brother website cannot recognize this model.I've tried to find the ink matched to this machine on: Brother.com, Office Max, Staples, Amazon and their Refresh Ink program. There are no compatible ink cartridges available for replacement on model MFC-J1800DWCustomer Service is open M-F, 9-5, of course, when customers are home doing nothing. They offer: No Weekend support, No Holiday support , No Chat option nor an email address to contact support. It's going to recycling as soon as my new, HP Printer replaces it.
