This is not your generic Amazon purchase where you'd purchase, receive, plug and go. You have to attach the leads in on the right places and either crimp or solder or in. Mine came in a unmarked box with no instructions so you have to figure out which opening is input vs output. The bottom is out, the side spout is input. Other than that, it works perfectly as it should and I feel like it was good value for my money and helped me in a pinch (where I had to drain an unremovable and difficult-to-reach compartment in a device). The flow rate was decent for the small device (but nothing to rave home about) and there's a button that turns the motor on and off.

the pump head has small passages that can't be opened to clean, so if you suck up debris it will get stuck and then RIP your pump's flowsad, was a good pump til then

I used this pump to suck up some antifreeze and pump it up about 4 feet into a small opening. The self priming works great, and the included line was heavy enough to sink in water and ethylene glycol for easy use. 1/4 inch ID vinyl tubing fits on the pump great with no need for a clamp even on the output. I did choose to solder the wires instead of using the included push on connectors, and added some duct tape around it for electrical short protection and a strain relief on the wire. The included power brick has in inline switch and a light that indicates power at the receptacle. It took a few minutes to move about 2 gallons, but not that long... Great value, definitely recommend!

I bought this to use at work on a machine that had a leaking seal. The water would leak into a pan and I used this pump to pump the water back into the machine. It works very well and never had an issue keeping up with the leak. The wire connections to the motor could be a bit better though.

I have a external over the tank overflow box that needs some kind of lift pump to keep the water going. I used Tom's Aqua lifter before and that stops working after a year. This one works great till it stops working a week later. Very unreliable.

It's not silent like the other reviews say but that's only because they probably didn't have it in an enclosure. The 1/4 size hose is proper like a water line hose for coffee maker or ice maker, but if you're using it for a short distance on a special project (like I did) you need to use a silicone hose. I've had this pump for about 2-3 months now and it's going strong with no issues.
