Easy to install. Nice and bright. It doesn't have a lot of features. I like the rubber grippers that grab the umbrella pole. You need to remove the light unit every night when you fold up your umbrella and then store the little remote somewhere so you don't lose it. I velcro-ed the remote to the top of the unit for storage, so it doesn't get lost between uses and seasons. AA Batteries are not included for light, but is included in the remote: one Type CR2025. A single screw must be removed to slide out the remote's battery tray. My pics show 50% and 100& brightness settings, using ISO 500, f2, 1 sec exp, so pics are taken at equivalent exposures.

We have 2 patio tables with umbrellas. We bought 2 of them and I love them.Some reviews have complained about the low lighting. Not me! In fact, I use them upside down for a softer, indirect, diffused lighting effect.What's really cool about the remote is that one remote works both units.

It is a good product. But, the light is NOT made for some offset umbrellas like mine. The poll of my umbrella is too big to fit into the light unit. I had to jury-rig a way to get the light to work . It does work well but the umbrella pole can’t be larger then 1 1/2 inches.

This is a nice looking light, but it is not able to get as bright as I'd expected or experienced from others. The remote is the main feature I bought this for, and while it works for on/off, the 100% and 50,%, the + and - are not really effective in going to levels in between. Otherwise, the item came packaged well and in short time.

We bought this light for use our new tent while camping as we saw it on another buyer's review of the same tent.It was perfect! Good light level and the remote features are perfect for that application.Next summer if the situation dictates, will use on the deck with our table & umbrella as well.
