We installed the Breez Max to get better control of the mini split heat pump unit in our bedroom. The unit was controlled by a remote only and the temperature sensor is in the unit which is mounted on the ceiling. It sits at the end of a short hallway at the ceiling. We mounted the Breez Max on the hallway wall about 10 ft from the mini split at the intersection to our bedroom. Its sensor reads a temperature which is more representative our bedroom temperature. It has no problem with controlling the unit. We use the Comfy option to have the unit maintain the temperature between a range during the evening and night. It works great. The scheduling is easy and very flexible. We are going to install another Breez Max in our office.

The Cielo Breez Max mini-split thermostat delivers all of the advertised features.Installation could not have been easier. It immediately identified my mini-split make and model, to take control of the unit.Just follow the step-by-step instructions to download the Cielo application, connect the Cielo thermostat to the home network and register the thermostat in the application.I’ve found that the “Comfy Mode” provides the best control for my application. However, I may try the “Comfy Max” feature that effectively programs the Cielo t-stat to function as an auto-changeover thermostat.Geo-Fence and filter-status are among the many features that make this a great product.I’ve checked the accuracy of the temperature sensor in the Cielo Breez, using an industrial quality digital thermometer. The Cielo thermostat sensor is very accurate and responsive. It will provide excellent temperature control in the conditioned space; much better than relying on the sensor in the wall mounted indoor section. Be sure not to locate the Cielo thermostat directly in the supply air stream of the mini-split unit.Customer support may be the best of any product I’ve purchased; no kidding. When I’ve called Cielo with questions, there is no long wait time (on hold) and the representatives are very knowledgeable.I normally don’t write reviews; however, I’ve made an exception because of this products features, price-point and customer service.

Full feature unit that is very similar to your household thermostat. The unit shows the current temperature on the LCD screen that is backlit (you have the option to adjust, or turn off the backlit screen). As with all of the Cielo units designed for mini splits, you can use the app on your phone, to control your mini splits or compatible A/C units. I use this unit in my 4 season sunroom for heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. It allows you to set up multiple temperature ranges to keep your room within the comfortable range that you set up. I have been using Cielo controllers for over a year and currently have one of each of their units. So far, this unit has the most features in an aesthetically appealing style.Installation is straightforward and technical support is available if needed (or to explain some of the features). I have personally spoken to tech support on multiple occasions and never had to wait, on hold, for a technician.These units work great and a a good bang for the buck.

I have a detached garage with an office upstairs that has a mini-split providing heating and cooling. More times than I can remember, I fail to adjust the thermostat when leaving and when I do remember, I don't want to go out to the garage. I looked at several options and really liked the Breez Max because it shows the room temperature at my desk. I don't have to turn around and look at the remote in its holster on the wall. Installation was a, pardon the pun, breeze, and I can control the mini-split wirelessly in manual or schedule mode.When I installed the Breez, I noticed that there was a discrepancy between the set point temperature on the iPhone app and the Breez Max. I emailed tech support, and had a response within hours. Tech support uploaded an update, and it has been flawless since.I highly recommend this produce. While at least one reviewer says that it feels light-weight and cheap, I disagree. It may be light but it does have some mass to it, and it doesn't feel cheap. The screen is easy to work with. All in all, a worthy purchase.

No funcionó con la configuracion qué tenia el termostato. Escribí al servicio técnico y me lo solucionaron de inmediato. La marca de mi AC ni la.conocian, me hicieron unas preguntas y lo arreglaron. La verdad no me lo esperaba. Y el servicio al cliente fue excepcional.

This kind of works but needs more functionality. I've found three problems so far. First, you cannot set the COMFY servings or others to odd temperatures, like 73f. Annoying. Second, despite the ability of the AC remote to do so, OFF on the device is not truly OFF. It just turns the compressor off, not the fan. Also annoying. Finally, the COMFY MAX setting doesn't allow one to set the temperature control points to the differential that you want. I'd be happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.UPDATE: I was wrong. This unit does not work for me at all! The unit apparently has more problems than I thought. It doesn't work with my Dreo portable AC. even though its algorithm apparently accepts the AC remote control's settings. I supplied every button push to Cielo's technician as well as having him reprogram my unit. It still didn't work. It does nothing at all to control my AC, not temperature, fan speed, ON-OFF, nothing! I've tried programs, COMFY, straight control. Nothing works. I'll give Cielo props for trying but it's useless. At this point it's going back!UPDATED UPDATE: They stuck with it and got it working! Got another call from Cielo today. They had added the remote to their database, talked me through setup and it now works! What's more it does almost exactly what I want it to! Not only does it control temperature but when the temperature reaches setpoint it shuts the entire unit off, not just the compressor! Impressive! Dreo could learn a thing or two here! Review bumped to four stars. Needs one more tweak to give it five! The annoyingly bright control panel light comes on when it is turned off and goes back to running. This needs a selector button / switch to put it to OFF when using COMFY and it'll be absolutely perfect!
