I live in a 1910 vintage home that has outside grounding from the electrical box but the outlets are not grounded. I bought a grounding mat and use it daily so this is a way I can actually connect it to the ground and still get the benefit of the grounding mat with no grounded outlets. It is a very thin 40 ft wire that has a copper rod to push into the ground and easily reaches to where my grounding mat is located. The wire can easily be run under a door or through a window to where it is needed. I can actually feel the tingle of electrons when my feet are on the mat so I know it works great!

I bought this for the WIRE LENGTH. I saw from the ad that the copper rod is NOT nearly long enough for my needs. (No using it for the yoga products, but for totally unrelated item.)I needed the 40ft of wire and alligator clip. (bought a 4ft rod separately from diff seller) I combined the 2 & have exactly what I need for a portable grounding setup.

I was really excited because I wanted something that had an alligator clamp vs a snap. I used it each day to ground myself at work, but this week the clamp spring became dislodged and I can't get the rivet to go back through the other side. The metal is a little wider than it should be, so the rivet pulled through and is impossible to get back on. I'd love it if the manufacturer could send a new clip bc I had a heck of a time routing this to my upstairs window and would rather not replace the entire setup.

This item has very good electromechanical construction and is easy to use.I cannot speak to your own experience with "earthing", however this product does a good job of providing an electrically sound earth connection through its attached cable.I can recommend it for its electrical properties.
