This small bar has a well-cut mill finish with smooth surfaces and flat slides. The width and thickness appear to have been cut in metric units so it measures 10 mm thick x 25 mm wide x 152.4 mm long, or 0.394” x 0.984” x 6” (exactly). So actually a little thicker than 3/8” and slightly narrower than 1” which is fine with me. Brass 360 is the most common yellow brass alloy and has 61.5% copper and 35.5% zinc with a 100% machinability rating, so this item is perfect for my needs. Brass is great for machining except for the chip mess.

A brass bar is a brass bar, except this one has a particularly nice finish. And so it's a great choice for any home project where the bar will be displayed.
