They can easily withstand temperatures from -20 to 300 degrees fahrenheit. Unique knockout center accommodates OS and Y or "rising stem" valves. Lockouts accept locks with shackles up to 3/8 inches diameter. Supplied with danger labels in english, spanish and french language.

We moved into our dream house in August. Yeah. August…Every day since we’ve found something else that was screwed up over the years by the only family that owned it. 🙄 Ever see “The Money Pit” with Tom Hanks and Shelly Long? Find it somewhere to stream and watch it.Yeah. It’s like that.So I thought that by simply turning off the valve marked “Outside/Greenhouse Water” on a big white tag before winter (Northeast) that I’d be good. Sure.The wife came running into the house yelling something about “water all over”. An outside pipe had burst. 🙄 So, now I know I have TWO valves to close before winter. I figured I got everything, so that was that. Uh huh.A week or so later, I took the dog out back and sonofagun if the spigot/pipe inside the fence for the pool isn’t puddling out water from a recent breach and freezing on the surrounding area. 🙄 C’mon Man!Back to the basement I run, cursing and cussing like you’ve never heard. I’m checking every valve in that corner of the basement. Nothing is marked. Finally I notice one little blue painted valve handle hiding behind half of the furnace. I got out my flashlight and dang near crawled into the crawl space under the 2001 expansion. It followed to a “reinforced flexible tube”(?!?) that was the ONLY water line headed in the general direction of the burst pipe. I cranked her down. Ran up top to check. Sure enough.Three doggone valves! That’s when I needed to find something to make them apparent to EVERYONE who follows! The big red lockouts here were perfect for what I needed. Lots of flat room for printed labels (including “This is #1 of 3”, etc. so they know to look for the other two!). I got a box of nice plastic lockout tags and marked THOSE up with stickers. I put one of these “caps” around each valve (great labels included from manuf.!), and clip on a big, shiny red, white and black lockout tag with a cheap wire shower curtain hook (the ones that look like pears and work like safety pins!).Fantastic! I’ll try to include a pic!

El producto cumple su función, quedo perfecto en la llave. Algo a tener en cuenta es que esta hecho de plástico y estoy seguro de que si ejercen mucha fuerza en el puede llegar a romperse.

Using to lock front door so that the kids cannot open the front door. Non-invasive and keeps the door locked. Beats the lock I had bought that would have put some holes in my door. I was inspired by these things as I use them for LOTO at work. Who said you cannot use to keep your kids from opening doors. The main lock is covered.

The 1" - 2-1/2" is the diameter of the handle, not the size of the valve/size of pipe.That is not made clear anywhere that I could see.Other than the poor description, good product, I like I can get it in another color other than red.The item is plastic, it does serve it's intended purpose, but someone found a way to break one.
