I don't like writing reviews the minute I get a product and I haven't even taken it out but I know I like it already. I'll add (or subtract) to the review once I take it out but this is a nice unit. My last paddle was an Aquabound and this one feels just as good for half the price. The one little thing that's a little annoying is the tad bit of rattle around I get at the joint between the two pieces not joining snugly. I really have no need for the case. I don't want to deal with zipping unzipping and having an extra bag to carry around and judging by the quality of the zipper I doubt it will hold up over time. So I'd rather for BPS to bag the bag and put the money they save into a better connector between the two pieces. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I was looking to upgrade my SUP paddle. A fun oceanic design drew me to this paddle. Upon reading more about the company I was drawn to the small business. The price is right and the quality is very good. It arrived on time in new condition. Comes with a nice travel case. The paddle is easily adjustable, light weight and good looking. As a flat water paddler, I can change direction quickly with a smooth and powerful stroke. Increasing the length of time spent on the water.

Paddle is clearly an upgrade from the 3 piece paddle which came with my board. First the carbon shaft is gorgeous. Being 6’6” I love the larger diameter of the shaft and it has plenty of length for my height. The case is a nice touch and the entire paddle is noticeable light weight. My only complaint at this point is there os more flex than I would have liked.

I rarely write reviews or do surveys but the customer service from SURF AND SNOW WAREHOUSE was so unexpected that I was compelled to write this review.First about the paddle: It is just as described. I have moved from a three piece aluminum paddle to this two piece carbon shaft paddle (nylon blade). It is a significant improvement in weight and stiffness. I know some reviews commented on the play in the clip connection but for me this is an improvement over the types of connections on my other paddles. The connections on my other paddles allowed the handle to twist at times, especially when paddling intensely - the connection on this paddle ensures no twisting. The play in the clip is minor and not a deal breaker for me.Overall, the paddle is a big upgrade from the standard aluminum paddles that come included with the SUP. The value (performance + quality vs. price) is excellent! Now Customer Service:The phenomenal customer service came about when I lost a plastic piece due to my fault while having the paddle taken apart for cleaning. I contacted SURF and SNOW WAREHOUSE via email to ask about purchasing a replacement part, and they were very prompt with each reply (less than 24 hours). The resolution to my problem was beyond perfect. I don't want to provide full details because I don't want others to expect this type of response every time and abuse their generosity. Suffice to say though, this company fully gets how to satisfy their customers!

I have the carbon fiber version. It is a very good paddle for all-around use at a relatively affordable price. I own two of them, although I've noticed the price has gone up a bit ($99 to $129). This will be a perfectly suitable option for average adults. It is reasonably light (carbon fiber version is around 1.5 lbs), has a offset paddle angle for most normal uses, pretty standard blade shape, and has a decent adjustment range. This paddle adjusts from about 70" to 85", so I'd say this will be fine for most people of average height. If you're particularly short or tall, you should figure out your desired paddle length (which can be a bit subjective) before buying this.Be aware that the locking mechanism is basically a clamp and pin, so there is some play to the handle. That's just the nature of most two piece paddles, especially with this type of lock. On the up side, the design lets you adjust the length very quickly. Subjectively, the amount of play has not bothered me at all even on trips lasting several hours. So far the paddles have held up well, although I'm not surfing or being rough with them.Bottom line - versatile carbon fiber paddle option that won't break the bank.

Recently upgraded from a heavy, aluminum, adjustable paddle. WoW!! What a difference!. This new carbon paddle is featherlite. Carbon handle feels solid and smooth in your hand. Adjusting clamp is simple, sturdy and easy to use; with a firmly locking, quick-release flip lever for length adjustment. Weight is exactly 28.3 oz (1.75lbs). The shaft and handle are 3K full carbon fiber, and super-light. Most of the weight is in the nylon/plastic composite blade due to the heavier, more durable, blade material. If you're a racer, and you really want to shave a few more ounces off your paddle, then go with the full carbon blade for an extra $40.00. But I'll caution you, the full carbon blade section....while pretty and light....will easily get dinged, scratched, or dented during transport or just hanging around the dock or beach. I personally like this carbon shaft paddle with nylon composite blade since I know I'll never have to repair the blade section after my kids throw it in the truck or bang it on the concrete dock. I plan to buy another one for my wife, since she always wants to use this new one now. At $119.99, it's the BEST sup paddle value anywhere. Compare most similar "name brand" paddles at $300.00, and this one blows them away in value and performance.
