I hit some rebar with a regular cement bit and couldn’t get though it. I ordered this bit and it went right through.Don’t force it, just light pressure and it will do its job.

I drilled down with a hammer drill and bit until I hit the rear, then switched to the rebar bit and regular drill mode and the cutter is still sharp and ready for the next hole.

When installing anchor bolts in reinforced concrete, I was unlucky to strike a half inch rebar. I realized that there are very few good options to remedy this problem: you either relocate whatever you are securing, which wasn't an option for me or buy one of these rebar cutters. The cutter went through the rebar in three locations and saved the day. I recommend these drill bits, which can save the day. I only drilled three holes with the bit but saw only minor damage to the bit. Great product!

Bad luck that under a line of holes for some concrete anchors to attached bases for the posts for my gazebo, was rebar the entire length. Took a while but eventually using this bit I cut through the rebar at 8 different hole locations. It was my only hope and this tool came through for me.

Make sure to keep drill cutter head cooled, cutting head gets very hot very quickly, I keep a small container of water close by to cool bit, it doesn't cut as quickly if you leave your drill at drilling mode only, I use it with drill and hammer mode switched on,

I returned the bit because it would not cut through rebar as advertised. Instead it wallowed out the hole where and additional shim was necessary to get the anchor to hold. Not only that, the full amount of the refund was not issued. I am requesting the full amount. Not only did it waste my time both by me having to repair the hole but also by having to pack it back up and ship it back.

Only $6 to over-night and $23 for the bit itself is a deal that can't be beat! One of my holes was centered over rebar, the other was half over rebar. The bit didn't care; it went thru the concrete when it had to, too! Tried a titanium coated HSS drill bit before this, and didn't make a dent. Ran this in a Bosch hammer drill on rotary-drill-only mode and only had to "drill" for maybe 25-35 seconds, total, on each rebar. Did it in 2 steps, cleaning in between. Just hold lightly down on the drill with steady pressure and let the bit do the work. Also check frequently for pieces coming up the center of the bit, and keep the hole blown free of shavings/chips.

This is a great cutter for going into concrete with rebar. I was installing my car lift in my garage and was trying to drill with regular concrete bits, which didn't work well even in the concrete, but especially when I hit rebar. This Bosch bit worked very well - took about 5 minutes for each 6-7" deep hole until the 10th one when I hit rebar dead on. That last one ripped the teeth out of the tip and the bit was done. Bought a second one that went right thru the same piece of rebar.
