Drilled atleast 100 holes through 2x4s, and it holds up well, just dont hit any metal. They will twist inside of your impact and get stuck, if you go to hard on them

This is a well made flat drill that works well, has the new self screwing system on the end of the drill, really helps get the hole started where you want it... For only $2 this was a steal, yes I would recommend this excellent product...

I'm not sure about the durability, but it is good enough to go through drywall. I'm not sure how it would hold up against going through studs. It works fine for basic home use and easily connects to almost any drill.

I work as an Electrician, and I rarely use any other type of drill bit, these are very versatile, you can use them in any residential construction application. They're just long enough to go through 3 2x4's stacked on one another but small enough for tight spaces. Once they start to dull they won't excavate the shavings as well so it needs more muscle to bust through but at less than $5 a piece they're easy to just replace once every 2 months or so. The spur at the tip really just pulls the bit through for you.

Trabaja increíble.. hace el hueco en instantes, eso si.. el acabado no es nada elegante, se recomienda usar para trabajos que no requieran acabados finos, o en su caso.. primero hacer guía con una Forstner y luego terminar con esta.

Very sturdy, well-designed bit. It really starts the drive by itself. I've drilled over 400 holes thru treated 1x4's, and 400 holes in treated 2x4's (3/8" deep) for a fencing project. Still as good as the first hole. I used it with my beloved Bosch impact driver which makes any job easier!Only frustration was I couldn't find a stop collar anywhere for spade bits. I tried a 7/8" stop collar, replaced the set screws with 1/2" set screws to hold to the flat sides of the bit, but wouldn't stay in place due to the contours of the spade (not flat). Ended up putting a piece of PVC over the spade bit, cut to size so it wouldn't allow the bit to go beyond 3/8" ... a little clumsy, but did the job.
