I’ve always heard people talking about Borganson shafts in many of the car groups I’m in. But I always thought they couldn’t possibly be much better than a factory shaft, right? Wrong, they have a slot and a key that reduce play between the inner and outer shaft, Im not sure why this feature isn’t advertised more, makes a big difference. In my case I was installing an aftermarket steering column that did not have the collapsable section like the factory one did and I wanted to keep at least the intermediate shaft collapsable because I’m against dieing, 50$ more for this over a solid shaft seems worth it to me, and no slop it’s tight AF!

This shaft is well made and is a perfect choice for my upgrade rebuild of my steering shaft in my 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. Or ny 60-70s classic. Got the shaft to fit a custom universal joints at each end that fits my steer box and steering column tail shaft. This is a universal cut to fit d shaft and it worked so well! Plus it still retains the collapsible safety feature to protect your body in case of front end collisions accidents. Came with good instructions on how to best cut to fit any thing. Super great ood upgrade and very easy to install.
