This item is a total waste of money. It's supposed to be sticky, but isn't.

I liked this book binding because it was made of cloth, and i could paint it to match my book. It’s very strong and looks great.

I was expecting a roll of cloth tape to repair the binding on a book but what I received was a roll of black duct tape. I had to write the words ‘this is not duct tape’ to keep my husband from using it for other projects.

A roll of black duck tape at a lot less cost would work as well

Let me tell you about this Dura-Bind Multi Purpose Binding Tape. It's a great value for the price! I've used it for so many things, and it never disappoints. From securing old picture frames to rebinding books that have fallen apart, this tape does it all. It's been a lifesaver for repairing ripped art canvasses and so much more. The possibilities are endless!Cutting and tearing this tape is a breeze. It's so easy to work with, making my projects go smoothly. However, I have to admit, it does have that classic plastic/rubbery smell that heavy-duty duct tape often has. It can be a little obnoxious, but honestly, it's not that big of a deal considering the tape's performance. What I really appreciate about this binding tape is its thickness. It's sturdy and adheres well to a variety of surfaces, but at the same time, it's still easy to grab and peel off the roll. It strikes the perfect balance, giving me confidence in its durability while remaining user-friendly.Overall, if you're looking for a versatile and reliable binding tape, this Dura-Bind Multi Purpose Binding Tape is a fantastic choice. It's easy to use, adheres well, and has a wide range of applications.

Unfortunately, my wife's experience with Dura-Bind Binding Tape was not as positive as we had hoped. While the tape boasts superior adhesion and durability, my wife was disappointed with the strong smell emanating from the package and the plasticky texture of the tape, which was unlike the fabric-like texture of the tape she's been using.Although the tape was easy to tear and apply, we found that it didn't quite live up to its promises of providing a quality look and feel. While we appreciate that the tape uses high-quality, acid-free adhesive, we were disappointed that it didn't meet our expectations in terms of texture and professional bookbinding look. While the tape may be suitable for practical needs such as box tape, floor markings, carpet jointing, and others, we cannot recommend it for bookbinding purposes.

This book was in sad shape. When I received it in the early 1990s, this 1940s book was already missing its front cover. It was there, but not attached. Then over the next 30 years of use the back cover fell off. I saved both of them, hoping to mend it someday. That day was today. I got a spool of this book binding tape and that children's book was my first project. A little poking around the Internet so I had some idea of what I was doing, and both covers were attached with one piece. Then the inside pages needed to be reattached with more tape. Note: The tape tears beautifully if you are tearing off a piece. It does *not* tear cleanly lengthwise. That requires a pair of scissors. As the photos show, the book isn't beautiful, but it is neat. And the covers are attached once again, hopefully for another generation of love.Thank you, book binding tape, for saving 400 pages of memories.
