I'm homeschooling my daughter, so this will be getting a lot of use. It seems accurate, and it's well made. For the price, it's a great value. It should last a very long time if it's properly taken care of.

Purpose for Product: We weigh rocks for shipping that is normally around two pounds. We have used a triple beam scale for decades and worn out several and it is time for a replacement.Product Inspection: It is a typical triple beam scale in size and design. Model 2610 which is the scales capacity of 2610 grams. The cast metal body appears sturdy and well made. Advertising states the scale is accurate to 0.1 grams. Numerical markings are clear and concise on the scale beams.Product Performance: To zero out the scale I had to finally add a plastic paperclip to the zero-adjustment knob and turn it until balance was achieved. Used precision 100, 50-, 20-, 10- and 5-gram weights, see photos, for calibration. This scale was very accurate.Summary: This balance scales price point seems about in the middle of the pack. It seems sturdily built and with care should last many years making it budget friendly. Found NO obvious defects.

My unit is off by 1g but taking that into consideration for the price, I cannot complain. I checked a couple of measurements against my digital scale and taking the 1 gram into consideration it was right on! So now I have a $250.00 dollar analogue scale for under a hundred! Great value!
