HISTORY
Bont was founded in Sydney in 1975 when Inze Bont, a recreational speed skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather speed skates to gain more support. Bont was the first footwear manufacturer to use exotic material like fiberglass in 1974, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon Fiber in 1989, and the first to use heat moldable resins and thermoplastics. In the 1980's Bont dominated the quad racing scene with the lightest and strongest boots on the market thanks to our unique one-piece manufacturing technique. Bont was the first quad skate company to use lace covers, velcro, and aluminum strengtheners in the boots.

I bought these buckles and straps to replace the discontinued broken ones on my Bontrager RXL shoes. A little modification and they fit these shoes fine.

I have an old pair of Bont cycling shoes that needed some tlc, and a new set of buckles -- this was the kit to buy!This is the official kit straight from Bont, installation was a breeze with the included instructions and it performs exactly like the buckles did when my shoes were new.If you have Bont shoes with this buckle system and need to replace them, buy this with confidence!

This buckle kit contains the exact replacement components for the straps and buckles on my Bont cycling shoes. They appear identical in every aspect to the original equipment on my shoes so I'm very happy to have these spares. The straps and buckles are fairly easy to swap out but the strap holders (loops) would be a little more challenging as they are glued and attached under the leather. Thankfully, I don't need to replace those parts right now but its good to have the option with this kit. At under $20 for this kit, I'll give them 5 stars.

Had a brittle strap break on older but expensive carbon Bont's and was worried they would be unrepairable yet still had tons of life! The new clamp went right on without issue, off to a great start. The new straps are TINY bit wider at the base where they "click" into the shoe. Now you should put your old straps against your new and see the small section thats too large. NWith small scissors you carefully trim this down just a tad and BOOM your old Bonts have a brand new strap set and are like new again! Easy repair to do too, my wife did hers on her own without issue and she is new to fixing stuff.
