BONSEN S3101 with compact design fits small home or small home office. Designed with overheating protection, if it runs continuously beyond the max run time, it will automatically shut off to protect the motor from overheating. In addition to paper, it can also safely shred credit cards, staples, small paper clips and other confidential documents.

This shredder works great, but you have to follow the instructions on how many papers to shred at one time it you don't you will burn it out. My wife didn't follow the instructions and I had to buy another one.

I love the way it shreds. Package was easy to open and easy to place the head on the wastebasket. I did not have any problems at all. I started shredding as soon as I got it out of the box. Very simple and easy to operate.

Lasted 2 years. You must have patience to use this shredder because it literally can only do 1. Sheet. Of. Paper. At. A. Time!I’m not even talking card stock, just thin EOB paper. One at a time! I had to throw ours away because I put 2 sheets back to back with about 2 inches of overlap and it got stuck. I tried to reverse run the paper, and even cleaned out the teeth at the bottom. Nothing. It’s jammed forever.They do t make them like they used to

This product was delivered well-packaged and on time. It seems to be sturdy and well-made; and it will do a good job of shredding many unwanted papers at home. It performs well, but care should be taken not to overheat the unit, or push it to perform beyond capabilities. We are very satisfied with the shredder.

Aunque todas las destructoras de papá el hacen ruido, esta no es la excepción. Tritura muy bien las hojas sin embargo cuando ya son 6 o más puede alentarse un poco y hasta sobrecalentarse lo cual no es problema solo esperar tantito hasta que se enfríe nuevamente. Por lo demás, muy bien.

I can't complain about a very cheap, reasonably price back-up shredder that does shred, so I'll list the things I noticed after having it 20 minutes.The top shredder fits onto the bucket by 1 notch on top fitting into 1 thin rail on the bucket. It sits on top; it doesn't lock. If you knock this over the top will fall right off. It is heavy but not overly so. If you had arthritis or weak hands it may be too heavy.The choppers ( see pic) aren't protected in any way but are recessed from the direct edge you are exposed to when you remove the top. Theyre still very reachable and deadly sharp. This would not be at all safe to have around children or pets who could knock it over. It's a bit cumbersome as I see some have handles on top to lift it up which would be safer and easier in hindsight.The instructions are some of the most polite I've read. The confusing part is it says, "maximum recommended daily use is 20 sheets of paper". Why, I do not know since other reviews show much being shredded in a day.Also says if it overheats to let it sit 40 minutes to cool off. Another reviewer said she did a lot with no issue. While I have only ground 3 sheets to test things, I'm thinking if I have to pace and stop or if it overheats easily I won't get much done.I found it pretty loud. One video posted in reviews has a piece of paper gliding into the shredder with..well...a papery sound. Another posted a loud jangle of the teeth mechanism and deep growling. This is what I have -I sort of stepped back and the cat took off like a bullet. If you don't intend to wake up anyone in say, the next 2 rooms, you might with this.The nice part is the switch is back-lit in blue, and changes to red if it's overheated.Shreds are small and not readable.Bucket is 4 gallons which is like a small bathroom garbage bucket. Nice for the price .

I am revising my prior review to show good faith in both Bonsen's customer service, speed of response/delivery and much better product experience. I was amazed! I received an email promtly from someone in the organization with the title "Director" and they had not only refunded but sent me a replacement shredder within two days! The new shredderworks perfectly, and it's smaller, cleaner and quieter then my last one. I like the window in the front of the bin, no more guessing whether it's ready to be emptied. This one doesn't take up as much space and it's sleek design complements my desk/office at home. This was a great experience, and Amazon's team did a great job too! Thank you Bonsen!(Potential Consumers...this was my prior review...I take it back. "Brand new, first time I plug it in and it doesn't work. Light indicator is supposed to illuminate blue. Within 2 seconds, the blue light switched immediately to red, signalling an overheat. The motor never even started. It's a total piece of crap. Save your money, go to a retail store before you buy a shredder, insist they demo it for you before you buy it. And don't buy anything like this from Amazon. It's a major hassle and expensive to return heavy items.")
