Choose a Container With Drain Holes
We recommend planting your Bonsai Tree in a container with drain holes. This will help release excess moisture and harmful bacteria that may cling to the roots. By clearing excess water in the soil you are filtering the container leaving only vitamins and minerals for the roots to absorb.
- Over-saturating the soil will drown the roots
- We suggest watering once a week with a small watering can or spray bottle
Grow Any Plant Bonsai Style
Almost any species of tree can be grown Bonsai Style with a little patience and the correct technique for establishing roots! We suggest taking a few cuttings from a larger tree — plant them in a small container using a Seed Starting Mix and transfer to a more permanent container after a few months of growth.

Don't Forget About Sunshine!
Bonsai Trees can grow well indoors, however, it is important to note that Sun exposure is critical for the health of the tree. Although Bonsai Style growing keeps trees small, they are still very much trees and need all the same nourishment to stay happy and healthy.
- If your tree is kept indoors, be sure to place it near a well-lit window to receive sunlight for 3+ hours a day.
- If your tree is kept on the patio or in a sun room, be sure to the soil does not run too dry.

- Gently Place Bonsai Tree in Center of Pot, Be Sure not to Damage Roots

It had large chunks of bark in it and didn't look anything like the Bonsai soil recommended. I had to use it and the trees are fine. There are now gnats and I am trying to rid the soil of those.
