This systemic product I purchased for a nap problem developing from using a moisture control soil. It helped to stop the net infestation as well as treat the soil so I would not have to replace it. I personally didn't notice too bad of a odor when it's poured into the plant and after you water over the treatment then it will dissipate the smell entirely. It worked amazingly and I only had to do two treatments. Now whenever I get a new plant I instantly treat with the systemic granules to make sure that no eggs or pests are living inside of the soil and also protecting the plants of any pests that may try to eat them that I don't physically see on them. It typically Works within a week or two. I do recommend using sticky fly traps to catch the adults but otherwise the eggs and the actual infestation coming from the soil was stopped.

I haven’t used this product yet, but know it has worked for others with large plant collections. Most of the bad reviews are buyers unhappy with the container size and content amount. I weighed all seven containers I purchased. They are all 1lb, 3oz, with 1-3 gram variation. The reasoning for the additional space in the container is for the fact it’s a shaker. If it was packed too tight, it’s harder to control the amount peppered out. All seven came sealed with the styrofoam press seals. I see how some might assume they are tampered with since all mine varied a bit on placement, but the weight is there. You are getting 1lb of product in a shaker style container. To agree with some of the bad reviews, yes, I agree plastic waste is a problem, and corporations should be held liable to limit plastic waste. I’d say this product would be fine in a foil pack or small glass jar with controllable flow.

This is a repeat purchase! Works so well on indoor plants with fungus gnats! I have a lemon tree I bring in in the winter, and this makes sure no bugs come in with it!

Living on coastal Rhode Island, we put all of our tropical plants outside during the summer months. When they come in, inadvertently, we also get an influx of white flies and gnats that have nested, unchecked, in the plant pots. Once all the plants are in, I've taken to hitting every pot with a dose of these systemic granules, and after one or two waterings, the insect population is more or less gone. The treatment lasts about 6 weeks. We have 40+ houseplants of varying sizes. One canister of this stuff has lasted me 3 seasons already.Just a note - I will not use this on my herb pots that I brought in; I am unsure of the toxicity of the granules and their effect on things to be eaten. I kind of look at the OTHER pots as being "vaccinated" against the pests, and the flies will not have many safe places to try and repopulate. That seems to work.We are also using the Zevo electronic pest systems in the house with much great success, too.

The half container is ridiculous.Dear Bonide,Plastic containers are not earth friendly. Please consider either providing your consumers with a decently full container of product or reduce the size of the container to be more appropriate to the actual volume we are paying for. Thanks in advance!

I was having such a problem with the little gnats that seem to come with bagged soil. It was driving me nuts and, after doing some research, I found this product. I got a little frustrated at first because I thought it would work within about three weeks, but it probably took nearly 2 months before they were fully gone. My advice is to just not give up because it will eventually work.

It was easy to use and in about 5 days I noticed there were considerably less aphids than before on my tree. It's now been a week and half and they are dying/ falling off and can see them on playground equipment below. I sprinkled on ground in 4ft diameter around base of tree and put a sprinkler on it every night for an hour for 5 days so it would be dry by morning and safe for my dog to be in yard. Highly recommend. Aphids were so bad my kid couldn't play on her playground which is under tree cause tgey made equipment sticky with aphid waste and she could feel them "biting" her all over. That's how she described it
