We love this because it is bigger than the kennel and keeps it from sliding or damaging the floor. Bonus points, as we have used this one now for a couple of years and never had it catch her nails like happened with the one this replaced.My dog's kennel is her safe spot and this mat helps keep her trusting in it.

This fit a medium sized dog crate and protects the floor in my house. The grip on the bottom isn't great - the crate still slides around on top of the mat when pushed, but it works for the price and purpose. This is the second one I have purchased.

I purchased this for my puppy crate because she kept destroying any bed that I put in there. After a couple of weeks, she pulled the ticking off from around the edge, but it still fits in the bottom of her crate perfectly.

I wish this mat was a bit thicker. It does have a nice grip on the bottom though. Overall decent cage liner but don’t expect much comfort for your pup.

I have my birdcage next to my bed. The mat is on the floor and tucks in my mattress. Now she can walk around her cage and I don’t have to worry about any mess. I just take the mat outside, shake it out and hose it down. I love it!!

The size was perfect, the quality also perfect! I have washed it once and it looks the same as it was brand new. I needed something so when the dogs were in the kennel their nails weren't tapping on the floor. It used to wake me up in the middle of the night! Now I sleep right through ...

I purchased this rug to use under my dogs cage because he slides it around on our hard wood floors when we are not home. I chose the size XL because it claimed to be 31in x 52in; this would leave about 2 inches of overlap under his cage. However, when the package arrived, it was approximately 26in x 48in. This did not even reach the corners of the cage. My dog was still able to move the cage while the rug was underneath and tore the mat apart. I had the rug for 1 day, so I have no idea if it was easy to clean. But it definitely isn’t durable and I will not be spending my money on this product again, and I suggest you don’t either.

Until I can purchase an extension for my rabbit's cage, this mat has been used to keep the hay and bedding she flings around off of the carpet in my apartment (as much as possible, anyway) and it has worked very well for this purpose. I purchased the extra large size, and it fits perfectly beneath her cage, with a small amount of extra mat in the front and back. My rabbit loves napping on it, and when she was sick and urinated a bit on it, the urine didn't soak through to the carpet. The mat itself is durable, and has even held up to her occasional chewing on the corners. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future!

This is an update to my original review. I have bought three. Two Gray and one Cranberry. While they are really good mats, I use in the car and home. But, once you wash it (on low, cold water, low cycle, no dryer) the non skid backing came apart from the mat material. Very disappointed in that. But otherwise does the trick.

I am actually using this to cover the top of our puppy's metal crate - we have a medium sized Carlson Pet Products Crate - as it covers it perfectly and then I drape a breathable blanket over top - it works better than a crate cover for us this way.It is made to go beneath a cage or crate and works well when I have used it this way (I just prefer it on the top). It doesn't fit inside a medium cage (it is a few inches too long).For the price the material is pretty good, it is not necessarily a 'must have' but it is a 'nice to have' ... I would give it 3.5 stars
