My granddaughter loves this.. we collect dead bugs and learn about them. The lens are perfect for kids, auto focused and adjust slightly to eye level.. I was shocked of the quality of lenses.. only disappointing part is the light does not have an on off switch, child must hold light button at all time..

This is a really cute my first microscope. I would say the age for it should be around 2-3 or maybe even 1 1/2 if baby wouldn’t put pieces in mouth. It’s very basic and great for toddlers, but a little to little for my 5 year old.

This was a Christmas gift for my nephew who is 2.5 years old. We just had to watch him with the smaller pieces but other than that he refused to put it down! Well made and now well loved by a happy little boy!

My kids absolutely adore this microscope. It is perfect for their age. They are able to find items outside and view them under the lens. My only complaint would be that I wish it came with a few different bugs rather than a bunch of butterflies. Other than that it is awesome and the kids love it.

Purchased for a four year old. It is ok, seems sturdy and he is able to manipulate it. We both find it very annoying that you have to constantly hold down the button for the light to shine...why not just an on/off switch? The container for the bug specimens that the child finds is itty bitty so better only find small bugs...our assassin bug barely fit and the way the container goes together runs the risk of hurting the live bugs...why not a cap that screws on and won't tear off bug body parts??? Also, there are three small areas to put specimens to view...why are those areas too small for the live bug specimen container??? If anything should fit perfectly there, it should be the included container. Where did all the reviews go that were less than 5 stars??? They magically vanished.

This is a perfect microscope to begin with. Perfect for toddler, well made and designed to help them learn to love science, I'm very happy with this purchase.
