You may not be able to easily fit 18AWG wire. Occasionally, I use 18AWG wire. I had to flatten the soldered ends before I could insert. When I have used other brands, the 18AWG fits easily. The "silver lining": this prevents you from using too much current!

They worked out very well for what I used them for!! I made them useful for a more precise tap on several electrical taps on electrical test points on Diesel and Automotive applications wher I did not have to lose a spot if I needed to test a certain trouble problem that always seemed to be a problem!! It is now quick to check without more problems!!

Philips slot was off center to the screw. They stripped out before getting tight. Also the contacts hinge shut and pinch the conductor in the back. They do not close completely.Edit: bumped up a star because the seller offered a refund.

I'm putting together some ESpixelPops for my holiday light show, and these connectors are working out great so far. They're pretty much your run of the mill, through hole, PCB mount terminal connectors. Spring clips that hold the wire are locked in place by securing the phillips head screw at the top of each terminal. Wires stay put without issue so far, with or without ferrules. The set comes as a box of both 2 and 3 pin terminal connectors. Each terminal block is designed so that it can be interlocked with additional terminal blocks on each side. So you could theoretically connect every single one of the terminal blocks included in this set to create one really, really long terminal block row. Or not. But the option is there.I'm using these with the 2 pin and 3 pin blocks connected to create a 5 pin block.I didn't have any problems with soldering them onto the board, so no issues here either. The plastic storage case is a nice touch that makes it easier to store them.If you need 'em, these won't let you down.

I'm using these to connect wired sensors to my breadboard. The legs are long enough that they seat firmly in the breadboard, but they're not so long that when I migrate to a protoboard/pcb, they'll be sticking too far out of the back side. I haven't tried to solder them into a protoboard yet, but I don't foresee any problems. The wire is secured fairly securely by the screw clamp - they will come out with a good tug. The only problem I have is with the screw - it looks like it could accept a phillips or slotted screw driver, but I'll warn you to *not* use a Phillips. The screw head is really just two slots at right angles, and a Phillips will cam right out. Use a slotted screwdriver. I wish they would just use a slotted head, but after you figure out this trick, you can use the right screwdriver and avoid stripped heads.A previous reviewer complained that the terminals span holes in a breadboard - well, of course they do. I can't imagine a terminal that would only span two holes - the screws and clamps would be tiny and useless. These will be handy during the breadboard and pcb phases.

I'm a BOJACK fan. Everything I have gotten from them has been as good as/better than what I expected, and these are no exception.I love this kit because you get so many. Would I use these pieces in a professional build? It would depend, but there are cases where I definitely would go with something more solid (and way more expensive, though). But I don't want to waste those things on some hobby build, so these are perfect!!I noticed another reviewer pointing out that the distance doesn't fit into the header row on the arduino - and that is correct. These are sized for a standard breadboard (and fit swimmingly as such), but if the header pins matched a breadboard, you probably wouldn't need a header, you could just place the arduino right on the breadboard (as you can do with many chips).I get that the subject saying "for Arduino" could be confusing, therefore. They probably should have said for breadboard in Arduino style projects. That said, it does say PCB Mount, and that matches a PCB/Breadboard, which the rails of an Arduino and similar MCU's do not, at least not without an adapter. So yeah, I think they are a great deal. For the price, a 5 star deal.Recommended!
