These are every bit as good as from the local hardware store. ...And now I have a lifetime supply!

These wire nuts fit the most common wire sizes I use and they work well. The packaging has the UL listing mark on it. It really should be molded into each wire nut - it is not. A picky electrical inspector may want to see the packaging for proof of listing. Keep the bag label to cover your use of these.

I'm amazed that you can get such a high quantity of high quality wire nuts so affordably! These are very well-made, which surprised me considering how many you can get at such a reasonable price point. The full package of them doesn't take up a ton of space, in case that's something you're thinking about.I also use the kind that you can just stick the wire into and snap it closed, so these are a little more "old school" compared to the new options you have for wiring connections. But those other, admittedly easier options are more expensive, for a very small quantity of them.So if you're like me and do a whole lot of work with wires, you could keep these around, just in case! These are great to have on hand and something I use regularly for a variety of audio and electrical DIY and repair projects. These will last me for years to come, and I'm so glad I ordered them!A must-have as a backup, at the very least!

i recently ran out of the cheap wire nuts i picked up at the big box store and i really wasn't too impressed with the quality. most of the ones i used recently had very weak springs and if you twist them hard enough, the plastic would actually start to expand and would eventually crack. these are more like the old wire nuts that i used years ago. the spring feels super strong, and even if you keep twisting to the point where it doesn't want to turn anymore, the plastic does not deform. i tested it with some 14 gauge indoor wire i had lying around to see if i can make it deform and i couldn't. the wire was twisted pretty hard and the spring actually cut into the copper, there was plenty of room for a bunch more wires too and it felt like a solid connection. the bag is huge too and should last for a while. this makes me want to go back and remove all the flimsy ones i've installed and replace them with these because of how good they feel. would definitely recommend them

Ordered the 450 bulk pack of the XUMMERWM brand tan (brown) sized wire nuts to see how they would compare to the "name brand" ones normally found at the local big box store. Have not used hundreds of them yet, but so far they seem to be doing fine. On arrival, I went right to the max-fill test of (4) 12 gauge solid copper Romex type wires for a tan size wire nut - hand tightened as hard as I could and the spring held fine without breaking out of the plastic. Did see a slight bulge around the side of the cap as the 4 wires bottomed out with the fully tightened connector. Removed to check the connection, and found even twist with decent "bite" marks from the spring on the copper wires. So have to say these seem perfectly acceptable for a "generic" wire nut at less than half the cost of the "name brand" local store options.

I thought at first that this bag of wire connectors had different sizes in it but that was incorrect; they are all the same size. Fortunately, this is the standard size, the most common one used in residential wiring. It is perfect for #12 AWG wiring (as in first photo), although it can be used with both larger and smaller wires. What a deal! I checked online pricing at standard home repair box stores and I see similar #12 wire nuts costing over $15 per 100; these are less than 1/3rd of those prices! Regarding quality, these are very good, seeming more solid than some others, with nice side wings that make them easy to tighten. I was comparing these to standard ones previously purchased from a box store and noticed that not only are these a little more sturdy, they are also longer. In the second photo you can see that a standard 'red' connector made for the same wire sizes is shorter, and in the third photo both forms of standard 'yellow' connectors (with and without wings) are much shorter. Using wire connectors that are actually longer than others made for same wires means that you have a little extra protection with these - you don't see any bare copper revealed at the base of these connectors like you sometimes do with others. I have often applied electrical tape around the bottom of those inferior yellow connectors to ensure no problems, but you don't have to do that with these. Very nice!
