It works really well on aluminium arrows but is no better than a very sharp (own brand) snap off retractable knife I bought from a well known DIY store, which also included 5 spare blades and was 60% cheaper. With careful use the knife works really well so I tend to keep this Bohning unit in my kit bag now just for emergencies. I bought the Bohning unit prematurely before someone more experienced with fletching arrows advised me just to use a standard retractable knife. That said this is a good unit, works well but imo is just overpriced compared to the alternatives.

Muy facil quitar las plumas viejas o dañadas, anteriormente usaba un exacto y rebanaba la pluma de la base. Con esta herramienta de una pasada salio toda la pluma de una sola pasada.

Im going through my amazon purchases. This doesn't look anything like the one i got. Maybe it changed since i got min. Mine doesn't have that tip, only the one on side (scraper). It works fine. Just caught my attention that its not the same. But yeah, works great lol

I did 32 vanes the first time that I used this tool. I like that the blade can be stored away when it's not in use. It fits good in your hand and the blade is not overly sharp so that it is dangerous but it does take off the glue the way it's supposed to. Pleased with this purchase.

Only after cutting the fletches of 7 arrows the blade is completely dull, a sharp prep knife does a far superior job. I do know that there is 2 more blades in the handle!

Works well so far, but have only replaced a few fletchings with it. Only time and repeated use will tell how long the blade will remain sharp.
