This attenuator looks used. Have dust all over it, have scratched face plate. And its box is ripped apart. Wiring seems never been used tho. I hope it works. This for my client's business where music been off for a week already, it just looks bad when I bring items that used when we agreed it will be new attenuator swap. Wiring looks never been used, so hopefully it works and maybe new ? And just been stored out of the box, however hard to belive. I bought these before and they look very nice when new. I ll give you more stars if it works. I ll install it today.I did install it. And its working. The damm thing looks different from original. But it works. Also its missing metal casing. So here is pics of original and this one. I am changing the revoew to 4 stars tho.

This volume control has a 70-volt matching transformer built in, but the speaker to which it connects will need ANOTHER 70 volt matching transformer, according to the technician at Bogen. So this control CANNOT directly feed an 8 ohm speaker. Too bad the whole thing cannot be self-contained.

I have not had the best of luck with these devices, but this one works. And it arrived as expected.

Our church has a number of satellite speakers (powered by a Bogen amp) that carry audio of services, etc. throughout our building . Each area/room has its own volume control. I've purchased two of these attenuators to replace aging equipment now and both have been perfect. The Bogen attenuators they've replaced were at least 20 years old and based on the high quality components and construction I would expect the new ones to last just as long. Highly recommended.

They work okay, but nothing to brag about. I bought several, and the performance is not consistent from one to the next, but they do work. Not a strictly linear progression from one stop to the next, with equal volume adjustments between the stops. That said, they were the cheapest I found and they do the job. I wasn't looking for anything with really fine adjustment, just some way to adjust the volume, so I do think I got my money's worth.
