The led burned out after 30 days. I just drive back and forth to work. No trail riding. No aggressive driving. Just burned out. Still waiting toHear back from the manufacturer.

There are only two holes drilled in the metal, BUT THREE bolts on the tailgate. So, you have to either mount it with the two end bolts and have it rest on top of the centre bolt, or drill a third hole. You could put it to the lower two bolts, and then the light would be behind the tire. Very odd!!!UPDATE 8/23. The bulb no longer works and there is no replacement bulb/housing - you have to buy a complete set up. Don’t waste your money on this!!

The LEDs are bright but not well made. The light plastic housing is sealed tightly and cannot be repaired. If you opened up the clear plastic housing faceplate it will fracture and it will not go back together to make a waterproof seal. Body Armor 4x4 JK-5120 Black Elevated CHSML 3rd Brake Light Kit does not offer a replacement for the light block if it burns out like mine did. Think twice before spending your money. This kind of light should be repairable. When driving down the road the flimsy stand vibrates so much it sets up a hormonic vibration which is visible in the rear-view mirror. No wonder it stopped working in the first 2 weeks on my lifted TJ. I made a bad choice.

Great product. Works well. Need to have longer lead wires. Wire color should match the jeeps wire colors. Need instructions to tell you that it will only work when the policy is wired correctly, if not it will not work.

Easy install and it’s super bright, kinda flimsy but I haven’t driven around with the top off yet to see how bad it can get (I’ll update if needed). That’s a 31” tire on my tire carrier, the light was hovering overtop it, so I simply raised the tire to the highest setting and it looks good. Here are more pointers. Keep your existing wiring harness, red goes to black and blue goes to white. Cut the wires offset from one another so the butt connectors fit in the shielding nicely. Make sure the tailgate is closed when you hit the brakes. Rub some grease on the steel on the backside before you bolt it on, or use some kind of gasket if you have it to prevent rust. Put some blue locktite on the bolts.Update: 7/16/24. My original post was a 5 star, the light stopped working and there’s no replacement. Pretty sad since my Jeep stays in the garage and is hardly driven.Update: 7/27/24. I got creative since they’re no replacements lenses and bought a pigtail and some ultra bright LED lights. I pulled all the old wires out and took a drill bit to the LED board inside. You’ll need a washer, and I recommend spray painting it black. You need to invest a couple hours of your time and $20 in parts unfortunately. I took some pics of what I used. It’s better than new!!!

Fonctionne très bien et ne bouge pas. Seul défaut, le filage n’est pas de la même couleur que ceux d’origine sur le Jeep. Essaie et erreur pour trouver le bon branchement. Mais ce n’est que deux fils.

I sized up to a 33" tires and upgraded my bumper so I needed a new 3rd light. This is perfect. It was super easy to install took me longer to get the old one off than to install this one...even with the wires. Its sturdy and nice and bright

I’m happy with the purchase, but to be fair I’d probably give it about 4.5/5. The mount feels and looks great. Nicely finished and pretty sturdy. Mounted to existing holes on my 1994 YJ without any issues at all. The LED light is pretty bright and has a good overall shape to match a Jeep. The only minor downsides IMO is how the manufacturer chose to finish the back side of the light/mount. The golden screwed that attach the light to the mount are more visible from the inside of the Jeep than I would want them to, and the waterproofing of the wiring where it exits the light is somewhat questionable in appearance. Minor issues that can definitely be addressed with a bit of spray paint and silicone, but I would expect more from a product in this price range.Overall though, really really nice light/mount. Definitely worth a buy!

I mounted the light on my 2014 Jeep. I like the fact that it mounted on the tail gate, no the swing away tire carrier. That meant that I did not have to extend any wires, they provide the wire connectors but I took it a step further and soldered the wires and used he shrink seal to make the connections. The whole install took 10 minutes. And the light is plenty bright.

Changed out my front and rear bumper with aftermarket replacements which required a new third brake light. The Body Armor Third Brake Light replacement was the perfect fit. One word of advice to potential buyers. Keep the wiring harness and connector from the stock third brake light for use with this replacement. You'll need it to splice to the replacement harness. Simple to do. Other than that, it's easy to install, reasonably priced and a great look. Completely satisfird with this great product. Thanks Body Armor!
