I am a new bobbin lace maker, and this was my first bobbin purchase. Not only do I love the style and the craftman ship, but I also am Very impressed by the company. They sent me an Extra bobbin and they had the bobbins collected in a short strip of double crochet, I assume to help keep them from breaking. I have to say you can tell that they care about their craft even from quality of the bobbins themselves. I highly recommend this brand.

I'm new to bobbin lace making, and I'm glad I chose these bobbins to start out with! They're very smooth, and feel well made. I've used them for several hours now, and I haven't had any of my slipknots slip off the end, which I hear can be a problem with some bobbins. They have enough weight to them that it holds the tension of the yarn, but are light enough that they don't pull at the pins.They are all pretty much the same in appearance, so I just marked the tips with different color sharpies to make pairs.The seller was nice enough to include a double crocheted piece to hold all the bobbins when not in use, and it is very handy!

I learned how to lace as a youth in Belgium. I was excited to see authentic bobbins from Belgium as my interest in this hobby has been rediscovered. The lacemaking videos offered at https://www.bobbinlace.org/ are excellent as well. Her instructions are simple to follow for such an intimidating but beautiful art. The instructor clearly has a lifetime of experience and is passionate about lace. I can not imagine the volumes of handiwork she has created. Her teaching and resources are a true gem. No doubt these treasures will be in my family for generations to come.
