Not very well implemented or the instructions are so poor that we can't tell how to play it correctly. You hit the power button it starts a countdown and tells you a category and you have to guess something from that category push the letter down and then hit the button to go on to the next person's turn or take another turn yourself it's just not very fun. Seems like there should be more to it it comes with a stack of cards that you can also use for topics but you have to just ignore whatever topic the machine says and use the cards instead. Has a minesweeper mode that you can also play in where it's not educational and just a gotcha game whoever hits the right letter loses which is kind of silly All in all this game will probably not survive the first time we clean out the game closet.

There is a popular game upon which this game is based, so I recommend looking up the rules for that one and using those rules as opposed to using the ones that come with this. They are very confusing and actually kind of horrific. For example, one says "If the answer is incorrect or the correct answer is not given at the end of the time, the player is eliminated. Eliminated players should be punished before they can continue to participate in the game." What??You need two batteries (not included) to run the timer or change modes. There are two modes, one is a quick answer mode, where you hear a topic and have to name items within that topic, pressing down the starting letter until a person can't think of one that's starting letter hasn't been used. There are also cards, so I'm unclear as to when you would use the cards vs listening to the topics spoken out loud. However, it's also difficult to understand the topic said out loud so the cards make it easier. Mode two is a hot potato type mode where you're just passing the item until it makes a noise like a bomb exploding and then that person is supposed to showcase a talent or accept a punishment. Again, bizarre.Overall it's a fun game if you can figure out how to play it. I'd ignore the odd instructions and adapt it for yourself. It's a very fun game and can be played with 2 players or more.

This game is fun. The directions are very poorly written, so in the end we kind of had to make up our own rules, but the board is cool enough that it all worked out fine. (FWIW, the directions are not bad because of a poor translation, which is usually the case, but instead because whoever wrote them simply doesn't seem to be able to explain things very well. Frustrating.)Anyway, though we have enjoyed this game with the grandkids, my husband and I actually prefer using it just with the two of us as a fun mental exercise. In those cases, we don't even turn it on, just to keep it simple and quiet and low stress. We take turns going back and forth using up all of the letters in the various given categories, and it makes for a really fun (though somewhat taxing) mental exercise. By five or six rounds, my head hurts but in a good way, and I feel like I do when I've just finished strength training or something. Highly recommended for senior citizens as a way to stay sharp.Fun game for the family but also for adults, especially older adults. Highly recommended--as long as you don't mind the terrible directions.
