Bought this set for my learning pod classes and EVERYONE loves these! The skin has a nice bounce sound, the mallets’ ball end color coordinates with the color of the rim and the colors are nice and cheery.I LOVE how this drum set comes in different sizes! As any percussionist knows, the pitch varies according to the size so the smaller size is higher pitched and the largest, lower pitched. Also, some kids may gravitate towards a particular size to use. A shy girl in class did not want to participate at all until I offered the smallest drum by putting it gently down in her lap and told her, “Here you go, this is for you! You can play it whenever you’re ready!” She hesitated at first but within seconds, she warmed up to it and began playing her drum with the rest of the class!The only downside is the smell of the glue when you first unbox the drums but that does go away after an hour or so. Just put on your air purifier and you’ll be fine!
