Overall, this is a decent price for a decent lyre. The welds/solders are tight. There's a good amount of grip from the spring, and everything was aligned well.The one construction complaint, which I have with most lyres, is that the metal on the head and jaws are just a bit too thin, so I worry about durability.Also, these are advertised for trumpet or French horn. I think they're a bit too tall for the typical trumpet player (most prefer around a 5"), but will work well in a marching French horn or even some marching baritones.
