Wiring instructions and diagrams are easy to follow. Programming instructions could be worded better. I had to make a pigtail from the bundle of neutral wires in the box so I had a neutral to tie into the device, but that’s easy. I like the look of it and it works.

Very easy to program! The light switch was a double toggle so we had to get another plate but the unit fit perfectly.

Un poco difícil de entender, ya que el video que tiene el vendedor es muy diferente a producto que me llego, usando mucha lógica y experiencia previa en sistemas, se logro conectar, si no sabes de electricidad te será muy difícil de programar. podrían poner mas videos por cada variante que vende.Ya instalado es justo lo que quería gran producto. no es como tal para exterior pero le compre una placa protectora para exterior y ahora estoy muy satisfecho. llevo con el 2 meses y ah funcionado a la perfección. si lo aconsejo comprar, pero ten encuanta la instalación es un poco frustrante. de los demás es una maravilla

It arrived on time. I installed it and it works fine. Instructions on how to set it up were good. The only small small glitch was because it came with 5 wires, including one for a 3-way switch, so, for me, with a regular switch, the first thing is to put a Mar connector on that one. But that still left me with 4 wires. I'm not an electrician but have installed lots of regular switches and light fixtures, so i was able to figure it out.

Ya hace más de un mes que lo instale ya se que dice que es de interior pero yo lo instale esterior techado y a funcionado muy bien fácil de instalar tuve un poco de dificultad en la programación pero después de intentar diferentes opciones funcionó y muy bien, mejor de lo que esperaba lo recomiendo al 100

Pedí reembolso y lo volví a pedir y está vez llegó ANTES DE LO ESPERADO Y TODO EN EXCELENTES CONDICIONES.PRODUCTO QUE HACE LO QUE PROMETE.VERDADERAMENTE ESTOY MUY SATISFECHO YA QUE ES MUY FÁCIL DE INSTALAR ( SI TIENES CONOCIMIENTO BASICO DE ELECTRICIDAD, COMO BIEN DICEN EN LOS COMENTARIOS " NO NECESARIAMENTE EL CABLE BLANCO QUE ENCUENTRES ES EL NEUTRO")TE SUGIERO UN BUEN ELECTRICISTA QUE TE INSTALE CORRECTAMENTE LOS CABLES YA QUE AVECES LOS MENTADOS "TALACHAS" AGARRAN LA FACE A LAS BOMBILLAS EN VEZ AL APAGADOR, ETC... En fin como les comenté es muy buen producto , fácil programación y espectacular función de su batería interna ya que aunque se valla la luz sigues teniendo tu reloj activo para ver la hora y nunca se desprograma...Nota: Yo tuve que hacer instalación nueva con cables directos a un paso de contacto Neutro y face ya que originalmente estaba mal mi instalación.

Used this switch to control LED soffit lights (no minimum wattage required for proper operation). Original set-up was a 3way switch with dimmer in living room (Line Side), a 4way switch in Kitchen, and a 3way switch in garage (Load side). I replaced the 3way switch in the garage with this BN-LINK 7 Day Programmable In-Wall Timer Switch. The one thing I needed to do was to remove the 3way dimmer switch in the living room and replace with a regular 3way switch. Since I wanted to still be able to dim the lights, I added a regular single pole dimmer switch AFTER the BN-LINK 7 Day Programmable In-Wall Timer Switch, This single pole dimmer switch acts as a master "kill switch", but its primary purpose is for the dimmer capabilities. Oh yes, I added a photo cell right before the power reaches the lights. Now I can have the lights come on at dusk and off at dawn controlled by the photo cell and off for a period of time during the night controlled by the programable switch. I also added a neon indicator light in the kitchen to indicated if the lights are on and dims according to the dimmer switch setting.Easy to install if you have a basic understanding of house wiring and could explain to someone terms like "Line, Load, Hot, Neutral, Ground" (and understand 3way and 4way switches if that is what you are working with). Awesome wiring diagrams showing how to wire for using this programable switch in any situation - regular single pole, 3way line side, or load side, or 4 way.Now just to clear up any questions on the actual workings of the BN-LINK 7 Day Programmable In-Wall Timer Switch. It has 2 modes - Manual and automatic. In manual mode this switch operates just like the switch you replaced. (your programs are still there - just not being used). In automatic mode the switch follows the ON- OFF times you programed into the switch. You can override the ON or OFF simply by a single press of this switch, (or any of the 3way or 4way switches if used on this circuit). (You can turn lights off and on just as before this switch was installed ex. if the lights are off according to the program you can turn them on and they will stay on until you turn them off or until the next programmed OFF event. (if the mode is in "automatic" it stays in "automatic" until it is toggled to "manual" with a "Long Press" on the programable switch. Hope this clears up any confusion about overriding an ON or OFF event.If I had to come up with a negative - it does take up a lot of room in the box

I'd give this a 4.5 stars if I could, because it's a great value, with some limitations.NOTE - THIS IS A SWITCH - it's on, or it's off. It's not a dimmer. That means that you can use it for ANYTHING for which you could use an ordinary light switch. A light, LED, CFL, incandescent, a fan, a computer, whatever. The only issue is amperage. Don't exceed the amperage rating, and you'll be fine1st, the limitations:The Auto/Manual switch selection is not intuitive. I'm still trying to work out the cycle, but I believe that any use of the manual switch causes the timer to immediately move to manual mode AND STAY THERE. I'll verify this later today. If that's the case, that's a bad design, because it means that you can never "override" a setting and then have the unit resume the on/off cycling at the next switch timer setting. In other words, if it is in auto mode and it is off, but you want to turn it on for a second, you can press the outside door/button and it will turn on . . . but now the switch is in "manual" mode, and it will not shut off again, ever, unless you manually switch it off. Not ideal.The Daylight Savings Time is NOT automatic. I had this daydream that I'd install it and never touch it again. I use this in a bar, and the hours are always the same - on at 11, off at 3. When daylight savings rolls around, you have to manually press a button. That button will cause all timer settings to shift one hour. Hmmmm. Not really "automatically" adjusting for daylight savings.Now the good . . .Simple, simple install.Simple programming if you stick to the on then off then on then off. If you stop pushing buttons during programming, it will end the programming cycle and go back to normal mode in about 2 seconds - a bit too quick, really, but not difficult to go back in.Looks good, works well.This product has a lot of 1 star reviews. I'd be willing to bet money that half or more of those 1 star reviews are from people who either don't have a neutral wire, did not install the unit correctly, damaged the unit with incorrect wiring, or can't figure out how to set it (manual/auto mode, e.g.).I'll post again if the switch stops working.
