Great thermal printer for shipping labels! I tested printing from my Android phone. With the Labelife app, it's very straightforward to connect via bluetooth and print from there. The printing speed is surprisingly fast and it took literally one second (or less) to print a 4x6 sample. The quality of the output is as good as anything I've seen in shipping labels. It supports all major OS/devices I am aware of, i.e. iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. It includes in the box a power adapter, a USB cable for data, and a USB-A to C adapter (labeled for Mac). Overall, I am impressed by the print quality and speed, and the versatility of the device to print from different sources with the app.

So I got this strictly because it has the ability to print RMA and shipper labels from my phone. Well, it can but not without some effort. Say you want to print an Amazon return label. It does not import from the Amazon app. It does not show up as a printer option when printing within the Amazon app. You have to first email the Amazon return label to yourself. Then open the email and save it as an image. I tried to do this from within the app but it was distorting it upon import into the printer app. The emailed version wasn't. Then from the printer app main page select image (to print) and the size you want it printed at, the speed and quality (darkness level) and lastly, image size and orientation. Then it will print. Here is the other area that you'll want to be aware of. The test sheets provided with the printer are perforated between the labels but if you try to tear them apart without first lifting the print head and taking the roll off the printer, it may tear the paper from under the next label exposing the adhesive which you may not notice since this is under the print head you didn't lift. That tacky area will catch the roller and rip the label while causing the label to roll around and adhere to the feeding drum.Luckily in my case it was a small piece I was able to remove. Also, you can't feed one sheet in at a time so if you have sheets not part of a roll, it won't use them. It feeds it in, if it doesn't detect the next label as part of a roll, it just spits out your single label. So while it can be used, it isn't perfect and leaves much room for improvement. On the upside, the Apple store version of the app isn't requesting access to data from your phone which is a major plus in my book. I actually gave it the 3rd star for this reason alone.

This is a review of the Thermal Shipping Label Printer (Model P1). This unit feels like it is well built and it comes with the required USB and power cables as well as some sample 4x6 labels to print on. I didn't test the Bluetooth or mobile options so my review will focus only on the PC experience. I had to install the label life software and that was fairly straight forward. It detected the printer over USB and I was able to quickly print a test message in text in the software. Next I pulled in a screen shot of a shipping label and again printed that without any issue. Two things to note: 1) The software didn't have a pre-set for the 4x6 size - so I had to enter the custom size. 2) The software didn't print an image when I resized it. It did work when left as the original size. So it appears that there is a bug in the software.Overall the printer is a good value and the software is serviceable but I think needs some updates.

I've been a little ahead of the paperless curve and have only had to print out three documents in the last ten years. Off I go to a local print store for a buck or two to do that when I need to instead of dealing with the expense and hassle of cartridges and keeping a printer prepared and running. I haven't had a printer is six years and don't miss it. I do every once in a while have to ship packages though, and had just recently been thinking that a no-maintenance label printer might be convenient instead of scribbling them by hand when I was offered this product to try. Talk about timing.I haven't had a printer in so long that I didn't really even want to think about where to put one, but this is so small it sits invisibly behind my computer, inches from the USB port it needs when I'll print a label from there and just as convenient for me when I do it from my phone over BT. It's so small I barely register it's there. The print quality is good for a thermal, though I imagine that's going to be somewhat reliant on your choice of paper down the road. It's a solid feeling little machine with a lot of sizing options and the convenience of multiple connections. I can't find anything about it that contradicts the high expectations set in the listing. I'm very happy with it.
