I picked this up to turn it into an outdoor deck audio system. It's supposedly water resistant, although I do have some doubts after handling the unit. It does come with little rubber plugs to stick in various holes, but the unit is not what I would call sealed.I powered it up with a 12V power supply without much trouble and connected it to an antenna and speakers. It uses standard ISO car stereo pigtails, a standard DIN antenna, and six RCA jacks for pre-amp outputs. (Two for the front channels, two for the rear channels, and two for the LFE/subwoofer.)The stereo is pretty cool looking and sounded pretty decent even with the trashy speakers I used initially. It had no issues picking up local FM stations and was easy to pair with my phone. There is a feedback beep when pressing buttons that I hope I can disable. I didn't try the phone control app as I don't really see myself ever using it.I was really surprised to discover that it didn't come with the CR2025 battery required for the remote.

This a very nice marine radio and for under fifty bucks you cant beat that. I picked up this black in color radio to replace a white color radio. The black better fits my boat colors. This radio I was very happy to see 3 sets of RCA pre-out's , front, rear, and sub outputs at 4 volts is awesome. My other radio only had 2 sets of pre-amp outputs. Now I can get a sub and amp that I always wanted to add for listening pleasure. This head unit comes with a remote control, wiring harness, install bracket, has USB, SD card, front AUX input / ports, plays mp3, flac files, Bluetooth, everything I need in a radio. This radio picks up FM and AM radio stations very well and my speakers sound great with this unit. As others have said, a radio for fifty bucks or under with all the options it has you can not go wrong. Installation was easy as my boat came from the factory with a single din radio. I easily pulled out the other head unit and put this one in place. My swap out took maybe 15 minutes. I use waterproof quick connect, butt connectors to make swap outs, add on's, or repairs easy and fast. It worked out for me also that the main wiring harness with this radio is exactly the same as the one I just pulled out so I have a spare if it is ever needed. I would not hesitate to pick up another one of these head units or recommend one to anyone in the market for a new marine radio. Thumbs up!

This is a decent little head unit. It is advertised as a "marine stereo" which entails a certain corrosion protection, something this unit does not have. When the USB door is opened, you can see the unprotected circuit board behind. None of the front control buttons have any water or moisture protection, they are not even dust-protected. On the positive side, this unit has a decent amount of power and can be turned up to about 3/4 of its total power without distortion. It is easy to pair via Bluetooth, but it does not display the song information. The pairing is for audio and calling, but the unit has no microphone input. It does control the answering functions, but if the phone is away somewhere, the call will be inaudible. So, you will have to disable the hands-free calling feature on your phone if you don't want to miss any calls... This unit has two USB ports. One is just for charging a USB device and the other can be used for audio. I have tested a 256Gb stick and it scans the contents. When inserting the USB stick, the Bluetooth audio streaming gets canceled. USB Song title information is displayed. I have only tried an MP3 format! The control buttons' functions are convoluted, but the faceplate design is attractive with a preset blue theme. The unit comes with a remote control, but the one I received came without its button battery. There is no printed information on the back of the remote (or in the provided manual) as to the battery type, so after some trial and error I found that it takes a CR2016 battery cell. The functionality of the remote control buttons is as weird as the head unit. There is no PLAY/PAUSE button! You must toggle the back and forward buttons for different functions. The remote only works at a distance of 1 foot away from the unit, and although the beep sound confirms a command, the unit does not comply (like mute/unmute, etc.). THE REMOTE IS ALMOST USELESS! Every time you switch away from USB, it rescans the stick, but it auto-plays the last song if the stick is not removed. This head unit also accepts a micro SD stick (which is nice, because you can keep the USB door closed. Unlike the USB stick, the micro SD card is not scanned every time it is accessed and starts playing the last played song immediately. The manual is decent.

I needed to replace the radio in my boat and figured I would upgrade to bluetooth. This receiver looks cheaply put together but it has surprised me. Sound quality good....power outputs good....bluetooth capable connectivity good....volume loud. Nice affordable sound. Not quite sure bout being waterproof but time will tell
