This plugs right in to the white CD changer plug on the back of the factory radio. I only use this for Bluetooth and it connects automatically within seconds of starting the car. The audio quantity is great, and the steering wheel controls still work. Volume adjusts properly, mode button changes mode, and when in Bluetooth the channel plus button skips to the next track and channel minus does a repeat on the current track. When setting mode the radio should display CDC which is CD changer. If you have it on CDP which is CD player the channel button may not work properly. Very easy to install, connect and use.

5/20/24 Update to original review: Its still working great however, when using the bluetooth and taking calls the sound for the person Im speaking with is pretty bad. The mic is super sensitive so there's a ton of background noise. I've tried various things to resolve it but haven't figured it out. The sound on my end is great though.Removing the trim and pulling the stereo in my 2006 CRV was really easy. Just had to disconnect the XM radio and plug the Bluetooth Car Kit into its place. I never used the XM radio anyway so no loss as far as I'm concerned. One thing to be aware of is that it wont work if there are CD's loaded into the CD changer. If it has CDs then it will only play the CD's, it wont switch over to the Bluetooth device. When I first turned on the stereo after installing the Bluetooth Car kit the Bluetooth connected immediately and everything worked as expected but once I loaded a CD it switched over to CD and the only way I could get it to switch back to Bluetooth was to eject the CD, then disconnect the Bluetooth Car Kit completely and then reconnect it. So, switching back and forth from playing CD's to using the Bluetooth connection might be a pain if you do it a lot.The sound quality was fine. Its not as loud as the radio or CD's so I had to turn up the volume an extra 5-10 notches to get the same volume but it wasn't an issue at all. It still got really loud and the sound was clear. It quickly connects to my device and picks up where you left off the last time you got out of the car. It reliably connects to incoming and outgoing calls.I fished the cable down the driver side of the dash and used Velcro tape to stick the device to the side of the console on the drivers side. I ran the mic through the interior trim and stuck it on my visor. So all wires are hidden and the mic and ports on the device are accessible. All in all, it was an easy job for a fairly handy person. Im happy with the purchase and super excited to update my reliable old Honda with some new tech.

Bought this for my wife's 05 TSX base (no navi). Installed in about 1 hours. Double sided tapes it to the top of the Oem head unit just below the green connectors and there is plenty of room. Mounted the mic on the steering column just behind the wheel and it sounds good in a call. On cars with XM radio the white coupler must be disconnected and this plugged in it's place, you will lose XM. The connection is very tight so be careful. USB does not work from the phone, only a memory card. Bluetooth quality is good and loud. You can use the CD/Aux button to switch between Bluetooth or inserted CDs

This was a great find for my 2005 MDX (touring/navi), wish I came across this a long time ago, the FM modulator I was using was terrible. This plugs right in (disables XM but didn't use it anyway), & put the unit in the glove box. The mic cord was long enough to run it up behind the drivers windshield pillar trim and leave just the mic exposed right about mouth level, seems to work pretty good. Can still use the steering wheel controls, channel works forward on Pandora, can cycle the input around with the mode switch if I want to switch over to am/fm etc. The channel button even works to answer incoming calls. Did not encounter any real issue with the volume being diminished and the Bluetooth connects effortlessly. It has an Aux &USB port & comes with an aux cord and a little card reader (the reader looks a little cheesy). Super happy with this, especially for the reasonable price, my old commuter now has a whole bunch of new & much needed modern conveniences!

1. When listening to the radio calls cannot be received or detected. The phone will not interrupt the radio.2. Audio from Mobile phone GPS navigation will not be detected and will not interrupt Radio or CD player audio.3. Yomikoo only works in a stand alone mode when connected to the Audio via the CD play button.4. Auc cable will NOT work in any mode with any type of phone. Auc cable will only work with audio from an external source such as a portable cassette/CD player.5. The flash drive will play through the USB only when plugged in. Switching to a mobile phone mode will disconnect the USB flash drive and it has to be physically removed and reinstalled to play.6. Outgoing calls through mobile phones have to be made either by physically dialing using the phone screen or trying to use SIRI. Either way the car has to be stopped to remove the hand from the steering wheel.7. Receiving calls is inefficient and doesn't always work. Incoming calls are only detected 50% of the time and the receive mode on the >> fast forward button on the Honda Accord's dashboard has a three to five second delay to interface with the Yomikoo unit to receive an incoming call. Very often the call is dropped. The ONLY thing this unit does well is stream audio from a mobile phone. It is a only a minor benefit over a $25 plug in unit, because it doesn't use an FM channel and there is no interference from commercial radio stations
