It took about 20 seconds (after charging for less than an hour via USB-C) to pair it with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The remote controls the on/off shutter to record, and the zoom, in and out. This is what it advertised and what it does easily and with no hassles, apps, downloads, etc.

While on the search for a Bluetooth remote that will interface with a mobile phone AND pause video while recording so as to not do as much video editing, I came across this. The description was long, yet vague in regard to if it could do what I needed it to.Here are my thoughts:The remote arrived quickly, it was packaged in a retail style box and comes with a USB-C charging cable, a lanyard to attach it to your wrist, the remote and some detailed yet VERY SMALL TEXT instructions that are in decent English translation. The remote comes with a charge, so testing it straight out of the box was a breeze. In your hand, the remote is about midsize, maybe a little smaller than a Roku remote. It feels like it would not take being dropped or sat on very well…kind of thin skinned. It paired quickly with the two phones I utilized it with, and the good part is, there is no specific permission rich app required for it to work.Once paired, the features listed all work very well. Unfortunately, the one feature I was hunting, that is specified vaguely, does not work.If you are a social media scroller, the PLAY/PAUSE button will do just that. In the listed features, it alludes to the fact that it can pause recording video, but I have been unable to get this to work. The flip camera and zoom features are awesome.Overall, despite NOT doing what it vaguely suggests is possible, it is a great tool.Recommend, with caveats.

Pro • Connects easily • Functions work well • Charges quicklyI can't think of a con for this unit, I got it to control the shudder for my phone camera. I does more than that, I can switch youtube shorts or other short videos on other platforms. With the camera you can: • Zoom buttons will Zoom in and out • Shutter button will Take a picture or Record start/stop • Left right buttons will move from photo to video (on my phone) • Up and down button will switch from rear to front cameraI love to use this while recording videos for reviews so I'm not shaking the camera. Very nice device! Tested on Samsung Android

[ITEM]: MAIRAN Bluetooth Camera Remote Shutter with Zoom and Front/Rear Camera Switch for Photo and Vlogging,Wireless Video Scrolling Remote for iOS & Android Smartphone, Cellphone Remote Clicker for Tiktok[BATTERY]: 1 A batteries required. (included)[ITEM MODEL NO]: MRRC007[MFG]: Mairan[COUNTRY OF ORIGIN]: China[PRICE (When Ordered)]: $13.99[ASIN]: B0DT9N5Z3K🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸[FINALLY]The leveling system in My Google Pixel 7 camera is a bit finicky, and even slight movements can destroy a shot. I've been searching for a remote shutter that would let me take photos, zoom, and focus accurately. I've tried four others with no luck, but with the MAIRAN Bluetooth remote: the fifth time's the charm![FUNCTIONS]It does exactly what I need and more. I can zoom in and out, switch between photo modes (photo, portrait, panoramic, etc.), and even toggle between the front and back camera, all from the remote. It's not every single setting, but it's most of the important ones.[SETUP]Connecting via Bluetooth was simple. I barely glanced at the instructions – it's that easy to connect and operate. (It may have even more camera features I haven't discovered yet!)[SIZE AND DESIGN]This remote is larger than others I've used, which I actually prefer because it makes it easier not to lose track of. It's super lightweight and comes with a wrist lanyard. It also includes a USB-C charging cord, and it seems to hold a charge fairly well. (I’ve yet to need to recharge it, even with heavy use.)[VALUE]This actually costs less than most of the other devices I tried that didn’t even do what I needed. I’m very happy and if you need it for any of the features I described,* I highly recommend it!*In case you need it for different features, I've included the full manual in the photos, so you can ensure it is capable of what you need before ordering.🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸🤳🏻📸

I’ve looked all over for a device that controlled the zoom function on an iPhone while recording video. This does it and more. You must turn on the zoom control as outlined in the instructions even to turn pages in kindle app. Not exactly clear from the instructions but this is my experience. The buttons don’t offer the best feedback/click but the do what they’re supposed to do. It’s very lightweight and feels kind of cheap but again it does what it is suppose to do.The zoom is not perfect. There’s no way to set the speed so it zooms slower or faster and it jumps when switching between lenses and there’s no way to limit it to one lens. I think this is probably an iPhone thing but that’s the reality. This is the best solution I’ve found so far but again it would be nice if you had a little more control over speed of zoom and limit to one lens to avoid the jump between lenses. I’m just not sure this is possible with an iPhone. I’ll try some third party camera apps and will update the review if I find something that works better.
