I tried this on an older machine using Windows 7. Description says it works with W7 but it didn't with mine. Setup instructions say to download from someone's dropbox. Nope. One step of the printed instructions say "contact customer service". But no customer service contact information is provided. Print is in like a .4 font, so you better have good eyes.Not for older folks. Not a good experience for me.

I purchased this adapter to add Bluetooth connectivity to my old motherboard in order to use my BT headset. I admit I wasn't too hopeful, but for $10 I thought it was worth the gamble. The unit arrived quickly and with no damage.Due to the fact we're talking Linux here the instructions that come with the adapter are useless, so I dove in. Plugged in the adapter first. Next using systemd I started the Bluetooth service "sudo systemctl start bluetooth". The adapter lite up, so I tried to pair my Jaybird's. Went through the paring and they connected. Played some MP3's, worked fine. I did a range test by walking around the house. Line of sight with only one intervening wall I got to about 30 feet before the connection started to break up. The results in the kitchen which is only about 15 feet away was okay, but if I moved further away the signal started to break up a bit. I attribute that to having three intervening walls and appliances between me and the transceiver. I was also able to pair my iPhone, not sure what I'd do with that.All in all for the price it worked and I now have extended the life of my old, but very powerful, motherboard and for the price it was well worth it. I only gave a 4* rating because of the connectivity issues with the kitchen test.Distro: UbuntuRelease: 22.04 Jammy

the instructions tell you to type in a web address to download the drivers for this. I did so and it takes you to some guys Drop Box and requires you to sign up to download the driver. only part of instructions you should follow is disabling existing Bluetooth. if you have it.i for one do not trust this. so i did not do it.just plug it in. chances are, even if you PC does not have Bluetooth, and you are Windows 11 there are drivers on it anyway. if not just go to the device MGR and let windows find them.i just plugged it in and it worked just fine without downloading anything.to soon to give rating on the device i just plugged it in. but right now its zero for the driver crap.

This is a good adapter. It worked as soon as I plugged it in with no additional process other than connecting my Mouse and headphones. There is no delay when moving the mouse or watching videos. Overall great.

I needed to add bluetooth capability to my desktop gaming PC, which didn't have it built-into the motherboard. My old BT adapter was just too old to work with new headphones. This was compact with very clear directions. The install was truly plug and play for me with Windows 10 home edition. I didn't have to install a driver, and my BT headphones and keyboard connected flawlessly. I really like the small profile, which will keep me from unintentionally knocking it free.

This Bluetooth adapter is the easiest way to connect your phone with any device. Just plug it in, wait for the blue glow to start and you are ready to connect! I am not very techy and I really appreciate that this adapter is quick and easy to use. It is perfect for anyone to connect their devices - kids, elderly, coworkers, etc. There are no downloads, no installing, nothing like that required.The adapter is small and comes in a little plastic container. It is easy to misplace or lose, luckily it is very affordable so I can have a backup ready to go!
