After about 15 years of service, I busted off the top part of this latch hook (door striker), so the door on my washer would no longer latch and lock, effectively rendering my washer inoperable. The main reason the latch hook had broken is the door hinge was also broken, so the door didn't match up properly with the latch, so while trying to shut the door, snap goes the striker. I did install this replacement door striker and was able to the the washer working again. In the long run I ended up replacing the door hinge. The replacement door hinge also shipped with a new door striker, so now I have two extra strikers! So my recommendation is to first find out why you have a busted door striker, and if the hinge needs replacement you may not need to purchase these. But if you do purchase these, they do work well and are at least as good as the OEM version.

The product fit and worked as designed. However, after replacing the door latch didn't latch, and after investigating, the female part was also broken.
