It's a good thing these are cheap. Looking back at my buying history, I realize I've replaced ours 5 times in 8 years. It's the weak point on our washer. Also, go buy the special tool for removing the spring hoop that holds the rubber door seal. It's worth having that tool.

I replaced a bad washer drain pump motor that I had used for 18 years from a brand new machine. This motor worked as expected with no issue at all. What can I say? 5 stars! I hope it lasts another 18 years.

Install was pretty quick once I gained access. Part was a direct match for my LG combi washer/dryer.I reused my original pump cover so everything matches original manufacture.

Not the easiest install but it was just what the washer needed to get the water draining again. The OE pumps appear to have a common failure where the impeller shaft breaks. Glad they are not expensive and lots of video's on how to replace. But getting one out and back in will take a couple hours.

The pump lasted 5 months before the shaft broke and the impeller fell off.During those 5 months, it made a loud electrical buzzing sound while pumping (as one other reviewer noted).Since I'm only the second reviewer to note buzzing, I assumed I had a dud. I attempted to claim the "lifetime warranty". However, when I followed the email provided, I received this immediate response: "You are receiving this email because you have inquired about an Amazon order. Please note that this email is for a brick-and-mortar building supply company located in the state of Maryland, and NOT for the unaffiliated online appliance company you purchased from. They have fraudulently used our contact information for customer service. Please refer back to Amazon for customer service regarding your order. Thank you."I concluded:- The email is true. This is legitimately a fraud and not sold or manufactured by BlueStars.or- The email is lying and they don't want folks redeeming their warranty.But what's for certain is, THERE'S NO WAY TO CLAIM THE LIFETIME WARRANTY.Amazon support chat refunded me. But, only after asking that I send in my pump... in two pieces 🤣.

We were slightly intimidated when we watch a youtube video on how to install. It was a lot easier after viewing the process. My wife and I did take at least 45 mins to install but the results were immediate. Our old pump must have been bad for awhile before we realized. The new pump pumps out the water at a more efficient rate. Wash cycle is actually faster. The cost was truly worth it and we almost purchased a new LG washer. Glad we researched first the value is differently worth it.June 2023 update,Unfortunately, the water pump we purchased was considered defectived based on the LG repair technician. The unit was installed by us correctly but the fan or propeller mechanism was not secured within the housing. Which came loose while draining. The cost of the replacement & repair was $178.00. I’m sad I have to change my review from 5 star to 3 star. Maybe someone who will purchase this unit. Will check the housing before installing.
