First of all the plastic fletching on the 45 degree indicators had come off in shipment, but a tube of super glue was included in the kit, so no problem. However, I noticed its support pole did not fit snugly in its mast bracket, so I added some glue there, too when I first assembled it out of the box. During the sail, the support pole worked loose from the mast bracket and allowed the indicator to rotate, decreasing its effectiveness. Also the set screw worked loose and allowed the 45 degree markers to spin freely, making them useless for tacking. Finally, after only a few hours of sailing, the whole unit just fell apart so I I put it away where it wouldn’t get more damaged. I hope to repair it with copious amounts of glue, but we’ll see.

This item is made very cheaply. It broke after only a few sails. It worked OK but was a bit laggy with wind, speed changes, and directions. I would look for something better than this as I do not believe it provides enough quality and a good value.
