I need a dual block assembly for the sailboat - one for dousing the jib and the other for lowering the mast. It's only a 17' boat, but I was concerned about the quality for lowering the mast. Time will tell, but it appears solid.

Should have gotten the name brand.. ouch, ya these are not meant for anything near their rated load. I tried to use them to hoist my dinghy (four of these in total). and two of them got immediately "crunchy" and have super high friction.

purchased these for a 6:1 traveller setup. I wasn't sure how nice they would look so i jumped in with a sheet that is below the decks and out of sight so it wouldn't matter what they looked like as long as they worked well. I'm pleasantly surprised. They are actually pretty well made and function just as good as the fancy blocks for twice the price. The nuts on the end are actually quite big from a relative point of view. For me this didn't matter as they are out of sight but this also makes them pretty strong compared to plastic harkens or ronstans. I'm impressed with the blueshark brand as a value option in the world of overpriced sailboat blocks. i'll be using these going forward for the non primary functions like downhauls, traveller, backstay, etc for a 32' boat. I'll still opt for the streamlined look (and pricetag) of harkens for the primary jib blocks and mainsheet but the blueshark is the new value line for all the out of sight adjustment lines.

Very happy and I would buy again. The blocks spin smoothly and the entire system fits together snuggly so it doesn’t rattle when not under tension.I bought this for my Laser as I wasn’t willing to spend $60+ on two tiny blocks attached to a stainless plate that had a “Laser approved” sticker. So I spent about $20 and lashed these to the deck bullseye at my mast base. Works perfectly to route my Cunningham and Outhaul line to my (also not class legal) cam cleats.

We have ordered a few of these Blue Shark blocks. Although we have never put them under heavy loads, they appear to be quite strong and well made. Good value for the price. The swivel block with a becket is the first we have purchased and I am pleased with the function of it.
